Manager Ryan Mason

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We have seen Sissoko getting beat by his man on a free kick over and over and over. Insanity is doing the same thing again and expecting different results.

Some of these players defended brilliantly today and they are just let down by Sissoko again and again.
Was up for letting him and Aurier go for free in the summer. How many times has that combo cost us.

That single decision to bring Sissoko on continues to perplex me. Start him, perhaps - if there’s a tactical plan there. Bring him on when 3-0 up in extra time, by all means .
But to sub him on at such a critical juncture I cannot fathom.
When has this EVER worked? Can someone tell me.

Just seen Mason's post match comments. He was pretty spot on about how the game unfolded.

City dominated the first half we rode our luck and then we started to come into it in the second half and gain more possession.

He didn't address why the fuck he chose the exact moment we were in the ascendency to take off two players capable of hurting the opposition and replace them with the worst footballer of all time and a geriatric Bale who I'm pretty sure never touched the ball.

Completely indefensible decision. As I said when the goal went in - he deserved that. He hammered the nail into his, and our, collective coffin when he brought that French fraud on. Cowardly and irrational.

I don't know what voodoo spells Sissoko has cast over Hotspur Way that seems to trick multiple managers into giving him minutes. Lunacy.

Obviously I didn't expect much from a novice 29 year old manager but then expecting him not to be a complete fucking moron is not asking that much is it?

City have a lot of quality players in their squad. They can afford to swap a couple or more on Wednesday and they’ll be just as good.
And the league is already finished lol, no way they’re losing from this position. I wish they went half arsed in this game but it wasn’t the case unfortunately.
One of the ways you beat a superior team is by at least trying to outwork them. We werent even close. Plus from the kick off we had 11 players in our half. Thats exactly what weve been doing for 18 months. No change.
People here saying oh city are great we only lost 1 nil. Well im sorry thats not the mentality i want anymore. Its what has us where we are and have been for a long time

I can understand people's frustrations, but there's no way Ryan was not going to take up the reins when asked.
I do wonder why Chris Powell wasn't handed the job though, he has more experience. But maybe Levy thought that it would make a better story for a 29 year old 'Spurs supporter' to win the game - the complete opposite to the previous manager. Also, no-one was really expecting Ryan to get one over on Pep and the strongest squad in the league.
Ryan is probably just a stop gap, but it does worry me that Levy will go for the cheaper option and keep him on, and I would hate it if Ryan became another 'hate' figure, when he wears his heart on his sleeve with regards to THFC.
I also am not confident that we will make the right choice as to who next steps into the hot seat. Not a lot to be optimistic about, is there?
Chris Powell is a born and bred spurs fan.
When asked on a radio interview years ago when still playing what his plans after retiring were he said
"I'll probably get a season ticket for whl"
This whole situation is of levys making.
The man's a dunce when it comes to football.

Mason showed today why he cannot be our future manager.

Against Pep (one of the best) he simply looked out of his depth.

That's fine though this is his 2nd ever game. He's 29 too. Its not a problem. But he has to develop somewhere else first.

Too many errors today

- Taking Lucas off when he played well
- Sissoko sub
- Keeping Winks and Son on
- No Ndombele
- Team lineup wasn't good
- Tactical setup wasn't good
