Match Scum (A) 24/09- 2PM - SUPER ANGE 🥰

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Can someone more informed on VAR rules explain it - is a ball-to-hand (which really, it was) still deemed a penalty or was it rather harsh?

I know the comms team seemed against it (until it was given, then they went quiet lest they betray Woolwich getting refereeing decisions go their way).

:sonhmm:
What we’re never going to see in the highlights ever again is the obvious foul Gabriel commits right before the shot.

I personally could go either way on the actual handball, but the whole thing should’ve been waved off in the first place because of the Gabriel foul.

It will never be discussed or shown in the highlights though.

Obviously I didn't want to see Johnson off injured but he was something of a weak link defensively.

I think that was maybe a mistake in hindsight. Helluva game for your full debut, and on Sky they said that Ange didn't want him tracking back. Given that Saka was excellent in the first half, that looked a bit rash.

I'd have started Manor and looked to Johnson's pace for impact off the bench.

Not gonna quibble tho. Ange knows his onions and knows Brennan a lot better than I do.

Paul Merson was right.

I really enjoyed that “slaughtering” we got from Woolwich today. Highly enjoyable watch that “tearing apart” we got from “going toe to toe” against a team who are “man for man better across the park”.

The sooner that cunt is binned the better. For a former player and pundit, he knows absolutely fuck all about football.

They had nothing when Maddison and Son were still on. Had a little pressure late but we really controlled the game and I felt surprisingly calm.

Thought Romero still bossed the match even though he was unlucky in both of their goals.

So much better than the last couple of outings over there

Biggest difference for me is the managers, one behaving like a man baby, running on emotion and constantly complaining, the other cool, calm and collected...... I know who's side I am on

Sarr really grew into it and started getting into space calling for it. Lil Declan couldn't go toe to toe and had to stop at HT.

The ref was allowing a lot more aggression from them so it was also very impressive how Sarr and Udogie kept their heads.
I thought sarr wasn’t at the races early doors. Too much lost possession lost all the 2nd balls

But again credit to a young lad with a big heart he realised. I’m either gonna get hold of this game and make a difference or it’s gonna swallow me up

he done his bit for the team

Curious, my shouts would be Sarr and Kulu, who worked his arse off the length of the pitch.

Sonny and Madders of course, and Vicario, who was splendid.

More than anything, I'd give it to the team. Take Udogie in the first half and Romero's two interventions (the second of which you couldn't blame him for in the slightest). Both recovered really well and turned in fine performances. Bissouma too, not great in the first half, loads better in the second.
100% spot on. I thought the 2nd half was excellent because it wasn't us trying to blow a poor team out of the water. Woolwich are a good team that will end up in the top 3. We go there and face a home ref and I don't see any luck on our side.

Just a side of Ange ball that I wasn't expecting. A great result.

Really proud of the club today. Fantastic from Ange and the players on the pitch. Look what a bit of youth, freshness and confidence gives you. Fuck me Conte and Mou owe us all a refund. I’m absolutely knackered though. Hate this fixture and ready to move on.

Up The Spurs!
