I wonder what percentage of those match receipts are season ticket income, which they receive before the season starts. We go down, those millions of pounds suddenly vanish.
Some quite interesting info can be found by going through the different subsidiary accounts under the Tottenham Hotspur Ltd name , for example under the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Ltd accounts you find that the club is heavily reliant on premium revenue which is bringing in more than general admission sales of season tickets and members tickets.
This bit of revenue info covers 19 PL games in the 23/24 season , Championship football would be a financial disaster for the club.
Premier League gate receipts were £45.1m (2023: £44.2m). Premium revenue increased on the previous year to £52.9m (2023: £51.6m).

On ST revenue there are approx 42,000 GA st's so that is 67% of stadium capacity , what is not known is the percentage of senior citizens and juveniles , not everyone is paying full prices.

I'm only a One Hotspur member and I've just cancelled my DD. Paying £50 a year for the chance to be able to get a ticket pissed me off for years. At least next season it will be a piece of piss getting tickets.

If we imagine there is 50000 full paying One Hotspur members and majority of them, like you, are a member just to get early access to tickets. That is 2.5m right there the club can say goodbye to.

Yep. They also you a £15 retail voucher, which helps incentivise mugs like me to buy a £50+ item from the store. All in it could cost them £5m+ a season.

In the back of my mind I think I remember being told the big executive boxes/rooms etc were being sold on 10 year contracts.

If that’s the case they would still be tied in for a few years yet.

Not the lounge area type seats think they are season to season match to match.

The only prize of relegation would be away tickets to some of these games - of course most these team play in garden shed sized grounds so that isn’t happening either.

Might get in the home end of somewhere like Ewood park, Hawthorns but mostly we’re gonna be a cup final and tickets for aways will be like rocking horse shit.

Home games - especially mid week home games will be hilarious. Let’s see how many we get for a Friday night home game against Hull in Feb

Not unless they drop the prices by half. I pay the cheapest level of £1,071 and unless they halve that I’m not going to pay it. They treat us like customers, time for that relationship to be put to the test for them and see how they like it. Got to be utterly mad to renew at the current prices.

Is that our cheapest now. Wow!

Looks like the next cheapest ticket in the championship this year is c£600!! Only 1 club goes above £600 with their cheapest adult ST.

Maybe this is the end of the 1882 seats then???

ENIC have got a great summer ahead.

Got to remember that the season ticket money is day one income as well. That money in the bank before a ball is kicked or a transfer is made. They have to work out whether they are willing to see it completely disappear by keeping prices as they are, or by halving the prices and getting half of the money. Renewals will drop off a cliff if the prices are the same as we will just be able to pick up individual tickets on a match by match basis at the same cost and they will have to put those down considerably.

I know a fella that has a 10yr corporate ticket of some sort. I think it is at the lower end at £4k a season.

I say know......he always blanks me when he sees me on the train on the way to matches which makes me think he has more sense than I gave him credit for.

The club can say goodbye to those ridiculous 1882 tickets next season as well. Who in their right mind will be buying those?

Edit - Just seen WillWilliams WillWilliams has already mentioned 1882.

If it came to relegation the minimum they do would be to reduce to the Cat C price across the season. There would be no Cat A or Cat B games. Expect ST prices to at least fall into line with that. Which would probably still be mental in comparison to everyone else in the division.

Regarding away games I think the 'appeal' of the Championship is a bit overstated by some. A quirky away against Wrexham or Bristol City might be reasonably unique but most of that league is vanilla teams/stadiums that have all been in the Premier League in recent times.

Wrexham is a great away day/night.

When I went there a few seasons back with Wealdstone I never thought I be thinking about going there with Spurs as quickly as this.
