The latest from The Trust - short but sweet! :disdain:

Season Tickets
We remain in ongoing discussions with the Club regarding Season Ticket renewals and will be having further discussions before the position is finalised.

How do they know they "will be having further discussions before the position is finalised"

The club can send everyone renewals without consulting them

Agree. There's a thread on the Trust's forum about it.

This is a reply from Rachel Martin...
We've argued strongly that while yes of course energy prices are rising steeply, we are already paying amongst the highest prices in the PL and an, eg, 5% increase for us is much more than 5% elsewhere. (I've plucked that number out of the air btw!). Also with the large numbers of concerts etc and the supposed benefit to the local community, you'd like to think this could be used to subsidise any increase, allowing local people some opportunity of being able to buy STs / tickets.

I don't think a price freeze is going to make tickets all of a sudden affordable to majority of the local community

In any case the games with lower ticket prices (League Cup / Europa League) often don't sell out - the Category A games do.......so it's not purely the ticket price that matters

How to renew

The renewal window for all existing Season Ticket Holders will open at 10am on Tuesday 11 April. The deadline to complete payment and retain your seat for next season is 5pm on Thursday 1 June. Full details on how to renew your Season Ticket will be communicated directly via email when the renewal window opens.

Very surprised they haven't increased it, but as mentioned elsewhere, an increase of say £100 for every ticket, would make feck all difference in reality to the Club finances.

Spurs fans will be relieved to read today’s announcement of a freeze on season ticket prices. At a time when we are all feeling the squeeze from the cost-of-living crisis, this is very welcome.
The Trust is pleased that the Club has responded positively to our representations that prices should be frozen, and that the renewal window should be extended beyond the end of the season. This is something we have argued hard for because fans truly are the heartbeat of the Club, and we believe to ask them to pay even more to watch the team next season, would be unreasonable.

Our season tickets remain amongst the highest in the Premier League and in Europe. Football must be accessible if it is to retain its integrity as the people’s game. Many are already priced out of seeing their team play and there is a danger the match attending demographic will change for good, impacting on passion and atmosphere.

We meet regularly with the Club’s ticketing department and will continue to press the Club to ensure ticket prices do not escalate and that consideration is given to how we reward loyal fans as well as encourage a new generation of season ticket holders. We will continue to lobby for things that matter to Spurs fans including match day pricing, European group stage categorisation and packages, and the removal of booking fees.

Agree but absolutely the right decision - just hope a new manager is appointed before June 1st because it’s far from certain I will be renewing!!
Agreed. Do you travel in from Brum every game? I'm possibly moving up there this summer and didn't know how feasible it was going to be hanging onto my seat and making the journey every other week
