Ex-Spurs Player Serge Aurier

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Just so frustrating. Has it in him to be very physically dominant, does some good things with the ball, strong in the air. Not dissimilar to Dier really, there's a decent player there about 50% of the time. The other 50% he's an utter liability.

I have fears about RB, because none of Doherty, Aurier or Tanganga are good enough to start for us there next season, and there's very few players out there we can buy and plug in as our #1. CB is not an issue, there's 10+ to choose from. Emerson? Aarons, Centonze.. tough position to fill imo.

Literally the most stupidest and gutless player we have. Brainless decision after decision and because he set up a goal or 2 for Bale recently, we are supposed to accept his inept performances? No thanks. The guy is fucking shite and always has been. A complete liability of a player.

The problem is hes the same player that Doherty is, ie. a player best suited to going forward and providing width. It made sense at the time for him to replace Walker when we played with both FBs bombing on and providing that width. In a more strict 442/433 hes shown up repeatedly, more so in the 433 as there less cover, or we dont know how to make it work on the pitch. Either way I dont really see him hanging on here under another manager

He is on my list of do not care if he stays or goes but concerned we will replace him with someone that is not better. Trippier was also on that list and we did not replace him with someone better. RB been a weakness for some time now.

Should have been upgraded on last summer instead of signing a cheap, ageing, similarly flawed player in Doherty.

And I don’t buy the argument that it would be hard to replace him.
Hakimi and Nelson Semedo are just two examples of right backs that were available last summer for very affordable prices that we should have been all over.
But no, we went for a cheap option which means it’s once again a position that we need a new player in when it should have been sewn up 12 months ago.

Just such inept management from top to bottom.

I am not sure 40m is a reasonable price. I wish it were for our club but I think Hakimi was way more than Levy was willing to pay.

Semedo has been a downgrade for Wolves this year, maybe he would have been a better fit with us but he has been bad this year.
