Please update me, he's still with us, isn't he?

Not a disaster in that case, we are thin at LB options, and he may very well be as good an option as Spence and Ben Davies.

If you are able to see through the polarized discussions, he is a decent back/wingback, though nowhere near Udogie in quality.

With his speed not the worst fit for Angeball either?
If we cant sell him to Turkey or Saudi in the next few weeks i hope they are sensible and reintergrate him to the squad until January. He'd probably be left out the EL squad though which wont help relations. Lets be honest he is a bit shit but did reasonably well at Man U and Brentford.

Not sure he's gonna be able to cut in as an inverted full back against Woolwich and City but he can probably do a job against against lower teams, guess that's what we will use him for until January at least.

Guy needs to sort his life out though, 27 and still hasn't found a home, he just needs to leave London and lower his wages and find somewhere to settle.

Glad he is staying, our only left back other than Udogie with an engine. Technically good but a headless chicken often. He might be needed, didn’t have a bad United loan.

I hope we don’t make Sanchez-Dier mistake. Dier wasn’t awful but he wasn’t a high line player like Sanchez and that left us exposed when Sanchez went before Dragusin came in.

Keep Regulion at least till Jan and if we get a left back then let him go.

Edited - he's still with us, let us lift his thread again.

Reggies staying is not a bad thing when we didn't buy a new player in this position. We are thin at LB options, and he may very well be as good an option as Spence and Ben Davies.

He's got spirit, I'll give him that.

Unfortunately that spirit is the ghost of Benny Hill.

Very good summary, also the part about him staying.

We need a solid squad going in to this number of games, and difficult to get a very good upgrade who may end up as reserve under Udogie

If he doesn’t leave for Turkey or Saudi I don’t think Ange will consider him for selection. He was asked about that in the press conference and he said if they stay that doesn’t mean they will be reintegrated. We have moved on, Reguilon wasn’t even involved in the pre-season.

We are in a new era now and we have to be strict about that. If you are told to find a new club, you need to find one. I’d rather give minutes to an academy player than bring back a player who has already failed at multiple clubs.

Nonsense.

Van De Ven shuffles over with Dragusin coming in would be my initial response.

Then Spence, well done to him for getting back in Ange’s plans. Top athlete.

I see Davies as a 4th choice CB in his final year.

All indications are Reggie is a non factor.

I wouldn’t move VDV to the left unless critical as he is a monster CB and we need him there.

Spence in pre season struggled when he played left, he isn’t a left back, he did great on the right though

Davies who has been a fantastic servant struggled with the running requirements last season.

All of them are very bad options in their own way. We need an actual left back and one with athleticism for it to work. I want Regulion gone but not before we have replace him with an actual left back.

I suppose the alternative might be to try Gray out. He is a midfielder who Leeds successfully played at RB last season. He is very quick, good on the ball and read danger well at least according to what Leeds fans said.

Could we use him for LB perhaps. I really don’t want to see VDV playing that role when he is so important to the CB position.

That’s an even worse option than Spence, at least Spence has a fullbacks brain.

You can’t moan that we have no depth at CB, sign a good one in Dragusin and then not use him. VDV was very good playing LB at the end of the season and his cameos for the Dutch reinforced that.

Dragusin will play a lot of games as we will have a lot of game. Last thing we need is to overplay VDV and get him injured. To me that is just a bad option.
