That is obviously because the club values different things compared to fans. Leaving the domestic cups as a low priority is not something Conte and the new players have decided. This has been a constant with other managers as well.
Top 4/CL and the money that comes with it is more important for the club's owners. This means the managers HAVE to prioritise the league and CL ahead of the domestic cups, because that is what the man paying them wants. For the CL match vs Milan, we will go with our strongest possible side.
The priorities of us and the board are polar opposites nearly all us fans want to win a trophy while Danny and Co are happy just to make up the numbers in a competition we have next to no chance of winning .Obviously it's champions league money not football that interests him .

Every club rests their players for the domestic cups. This isn't something only Spurs do because of our owners, regardless of what you want to believe.
Man Utd rested their best players against a Premier League club in the week and needed to bring them on to turn it round. And this is Man Utd. The biggest club in world football.
The team we put out was more than good enough to beat a Championship side. We didn't. They wanted it more, were hungrier and it showed. The players don't give a fuck what the ownership want. They decided to go out there and embarrass a fanbase because they weren't prepared enough or up for a mid week game away at a Championship stadium.
Nothing more. Nothing less. No conspiracy about us losing because the owners don't want us to win or any other similar bollocks.

100% agree we barely created any real openings. Best chance was richo when Sanchez put him through! Absolute no idea how to play football has been coached by this fraidster. Many trans with lesser quality play better football and create chances. I bet the coaching staff didn’t even bother to do their homework on SU!
But we have a manger on £15M yr plus all his back room staff. Surely they can get the players up for a cup game? Surely they want to win the gane? Send them out with right attitude and we win that game! But no we play the same formation, tactics and style as we play every other game. Which is basically we waste a first half doing nothing. Would have been the same if Kane started.

For a side that was forced to make 8 changes through illnesses and injuries they showed the fight and tenacity to prosper as a team. I thought Chris Basham was exceptional on the night.
Im very surprised Danjuma didnt start and yes Richi had a stinker and how on earth Forster was beaten at the near post like he was was unbelievable but at the end of the day the better side got the win and came out on top

Come on this is the sort of attitude which brings us down. Just bcos davies has had a little run at LWB . Has he really been tarring down that left side. Go back kart few seasons and he was a player everyone was saying needed to go. The mindset being just bcos his down ok doesn’t mean we can do better.! Same with royal ok his done some block and tackles but on the attacking side has he put a decent cross in or taken on his man. As the main attacking threats in dumb arse contes sustem they don’t no where enough. Without Kane contes system and “styke” of play would have us in relegation zone. We barely create any chances from open play.
That is a statement more in conte than anything else. Most teams don’t have a Kane. Yet they can score and play good football. Cunte has basically relied on kanes goals and totally given up on trying to coach the team on playing a style of football that creates chances. We score from corners mainly and some counter attacks. How often do you see us pummel teams and force a goalie to makes saves?! We are a pathetically coach team by a manager who doesn’t give a shit. Absolute shocking that we have no real identify on our style of football apart from playing as many defensive players as possible.
