Really difficult to pick a lineup for today.
Maybe...

--------------Forster----------------
---Romero---Dier--Lenglet------
-Porro-------------------Perisic---
--------Sarr----PEH---------------
---Danjuma---------Son----------
--------------Richie-----------------

I think Kane and Kulu deserve not starting this one. Sarr should get minutes for sure. As should Danjuma. Son has started from the bench and he did real well last time in Cup game, so why not start him. Davies can rest and use Perisic in here, also trying to get Porro up to speed. No room to shuffle anything in defense unfortunately.
I think I’d keep Porro on the bench for this one.

Strong a team as possible , Sheffield won’t be a push over . If we don’t , we may find that we’re out of two cups in just over a week.

Yep, I just checked who and what do they have... quite interesting story.

1) Number of interesting players
Berge - midfielder who was linked with Spurs as well, before he moved to Sheffield. Kind of struggled in the Prem but seem to have found his place in Championship. Also seems to pitch in with scoring - 6 goals and 3 assists from this season.
Ndiaye - Senegalese player, just 22, brought in as youth player, so HG. This season doing some real damage in Championship with 10+7 ; all in all has played 4500 minutes in Champo, scored 17 and assisted 9. Contract ending next summer. So if he is dynamic and promising, maybe we should keep an eye on him? HG, young, lot of potential and Sarr teammate from NT.
Ahmedhodzic - CB version of Zlatan, also their ONLY permanent summer signing (!) for 4,5 mil.

2) Interesting strategy - did not splash a lot of cash. Took on almost mandatory 2 loanees from City. Released some EPL flops (Mousset, Burke). And went on...
Pretty much 180 degrees different from their Play-Off nemesis Nottingham.

3) Interesting coach in Heckinbottom. Still relatively young at 45 but has been around for a while. And seems to have got tune out of the club.

So... very unusual for a cup game, but I am quite looking forward to it!

That Ndiaye looks a real handful. Quality dribbler. Reminds me a bit of Taraabt or St Maximan where their own players are not sure what they are going to do

Kulu Looks Gassed last few games but he is key to the way we play, If anything he can rest Sunday.
I would like to See Richie up Top and Danjuma on the left and then SARR in for Skipp or Hjojberg which should still be a very strong team with Kane and Son on the bench if needed.

True for the relegation fighting side.
But to be in best shape in 3 competitions and top level while playing every 3 days, it will get your players ran to the ground.

But cannot go overboard with changes either ofc.
I don't get this - certainly not in this day and age of scientific diets, exercise programmes and and general body tuning - whilst playing on pitches like bowling greens.

(When I were a lad moment)

Back in the 70's when it was mandatory to smoke 40 a day, have a pint or two at half time, and play on pitches that looked like a re-enactment stage for the second battle of the Somme, with a ball that weighed the same as a VW Beetle - they had 42 game seasons, the same 3 domestic competitions and European games as well

Unless someone died of gangrene, it was the same team every match

Hahahahahaha the game was played at walking pace then grandad, by largely overweight oafs. These are lean sprinters with 6-8% body fat, playing a rapid game at 100mph. No relevance whatsoever to yesteryear

Massive game this. Not going to be easy. Cold night up north. Roaring crowd… going to need some good hard brexit tackles to get through this . No pussyfooting around.

Walking pace - no, not even slightly. Slower yes, the pitches were shit
Overweight, the only one I really remember was Franny Lee - and I think a lot of it was that he was an odd shape - so, no that's wrong

Oafs - why, are todays players cultured rocket scientists are they? Or are you talking skill?

You need to think about addressing the points in the post, rather than attacking me with your repetitious ageist comments.
