In the past when rotating we’d be replacing Kane with a hapless Jansen or Kulu with a limited Lucas. We have guys like porro, Danjuma and Richarlison on the bench. From an attacking perspective the drop off when rotating shouldn’t be massive, sure Richy is the Brazil no 9!

I want the front three to be Danjuma, Richarlison, son

It’s defensively where the drop off is huge. I’d like to see us start the same back 5 as Sunday bar maybe porro..

I'd rest Ben too, but yeh.... Agreed with the bulk of that.

Keep the 3 CBs together and try to bild some continuity.

You surely are not trying to tell me that we have the same cash availability for our playing squad as Man Utd?
You can't be that naive
That's not what I said, I didn't mention the two team's available cash, it's just that I don't think they have outspent us since Conte/Ten Hag have been the two managers, and if they have not by much.

I also believe their playing staff are not better than ours, when all the pros and cons are taken into account.

So they winning the League Cup and us being knocked out by Nottingham Forrest, doesn't have anything to do with the two teams finances.

ManU's gross revenue far exceeds Spurs, but Glazers take out quite a lot from ManU (eg on top of the interest paid to buy out ManU they add an extra 2% or 3% plus dividends and management fees), so some of that difference disappears.

Spurs revenues are increasing at a faster rate than ManU so the difference in revenues between the 2 clubs will get smaller. We'll only see how much the difference is in say 2 years time

But fundamentally ManU buying of players has been very poor - the huge cost of Ronaldo to add a player unable to run very much. Long may that continue as that (buying better) rather than revenue will be the biggest differentiator for a few years.

Just been reading a Blades forum and surprisingly total respect for us!!
Especially Kane, it's a welcome change from the usual vitriol online?
Let's hope they are promoted in place of West Ham.. Karma

Stellini already confirmed Kane starts mate
Well I can see the logic, it's probably our best chance of a trophy this season (the FA cup) but I worry that Kane will be knackered by the time we play AC Milan next week. When we bought Richarlison I thought he was going to be a quality rotation option for Kane, so maybe he's going to play against Wolves in place of Kane?

Unfortunately we rely on Kane way too much mate. Against Preston we can afford to rest him which we did, but pretty much 99% of the time, we start him. I prefer myself for him to be rested but we know it won’t happen. Hopefully if we are winning comfortably tonight, we can bring Harry off.

I just had an attack of THE FEAR, imagining tomorrows headlines along the lines of "Blades carve through sorry Spurs, or some mention of blunting, edging etc.

We've got this, haven't we? Haven't we?

As you say the best scenario tonight now is to get an early lead and sub off Kane for Richarlison.

I assume for the AC Milan game they will be ultra defensive, so we're going to need our best players on top form, if we're going to score two goals to win that match.
