We are not that young a side so that is a rather nonsensical argument.

All half decent teams can look.good at times.

Postecoglou has not overseen anything that looks like consistently good and the losses to Ipswich and Palace, at times when they would have had fragile confidence are beyond belief.

There are no excuses but sacking the bloke now is the answer or we wait, because we need a transfer window in which we see a couple of players, and any managerial uncertainty will make that less likely.

But I don't see success under Postecoglou and for me that would be a trophy or top 4, or undeniable progress. None likely ot in evidence.
I'm not a fan of Postecoglou, but he has a system that looks very good at times. What's to say that with another season of matches and practices that players don't get more consistent? Some help on defense and a keeper to push Vicario at the transfer window might help salvage the season.

I dont get why some fans are so squemish about sacking a manager. If you could upgrade on a player you would. Brennan Johnson has been here as long as Ange but its obvious he can be improved upon. This isnt like sacking a manager decades ago, the footballing set up should remain the same. They're all coaches really, not managers.

I fully get where you're coming from. Allow me to bore you to tears.

For me personally it's because of a couple of things. One is that he does play a style which I enjoy (when it works). The Jose/Conte era had me so so bored and close to giving up the sport entirely and I dreaded every match.

The other is that I feel if we are to win things we have to stick with the manager through the shit early days in order to reap the rewards. As painful as it is after that shambles on the weekend, we are still in the early days. The dopamine hit of a new manager coming in and putting three past Southampton will turn to despair when we bottle a lead against Newcastle at home the next week. In me it breeds impatience and entitlement for no long term gain.

We don't have the players to mount let alone sustain a title run and for me 4th isn't anything other than bragging rights to wum plastics. Which is still a good part of the game but ultimately mediocre. That's not on Ange. That's on Levy. Who will probably be enjoying Ange copping all this flak whilst he can concentrate on hotels. At least Ange wants to truly be here and doesn't feel like he is doing us a favour or angling for a golden handshake.

One thing I think that doesn't help is that Ange uses his press conferences to play up to the media and not the Spurs fans. So the media are caught between sucking him off whilst at the same time shitting on Spurs fans and it can get a little grating. For example the City fiasco last season would have been a great bit of PR for us fans but he chose to side with the gooner loving press and slag us off to protect his own reputation. It was probably what prompted a lot of the loudest voices to come out from behind the sofa after never wanting an Australian appointed in the first place due to their own sporting biases. Not a racist thing. Just an international sporting rivalry thing which could probably be linked to the Aussie cricket team who have always been and always will be a massive pack of cunts.

So long boring story short I feel your pain and I get why you feel that way. But for me he has to at least have the season and see how we do in the cups. If he gets us to a cup final I'll probably be flying over even if I don't get a ticket to the match itself.

Stay , see it out til the end because if it’s not Postecoglou we’ll having the same boring threads in 18months time about someone else but with the same bell ends moaning.

So we should keep him....Not because he's doing a great job or even showing signs of competence ......But because Eli of the Fighting Cock finds some threads a bit boring.

I just wonder if Burkinshaw would ever consider coming back in a David Pleat-esque role of Football consultant...

I'm sure half the board have never heard of him, but in terms of history, and continuity, even as an ambassadorial role I'd love to see him back at the club in SOME capacity.

(Not that he'd necessarily WANT to come back!)

He's in his 90th year mate.
