Match Simon Whatshisface Boys vs. The Mighty Spurs Sunday 27th Oct 2pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Last 25 PL games: 11 W - 3 D - 11 L. Knowing our wins included mighty Sheffield, Forest, Luton, Burnley, Palace (last season) and Everton, Utd and Spam (this season). Brighton & Villa were also struggling when we defeated them last season.

We can't beat big teams, win derbies, win away, keep clean sheets. We've had many a dire performance under this supposedly exciting manager & system. We were seconds away from losing to shitty Coventry. We were shite vs Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ...three teams who are Champo level. We keep making the same dumb mistakes time & time again. He's arrogant, rude, stubborn.

That's damning. He just ain't good enough. Go cough & look menacing elsewhere.
That he wins a Trophy in his second season is fact, but I have never heard him set that as an objective here, I have heard him say winning a Cup or finishing top four isn't an achievement though in the long term of things.

Making statements like this removes responsibility from the results he presides over.

I can't say that we look any more solid, robust or different than last season when you actually look at our overall results.

I am all for buying youth and players for the future, but we are full of them now, we need a leader of the team not a prospect that will, maybe, could be good.

Without rubbing salt in the wounds, Woolwich went and shored up their midfield with Rice, the cost was irrelevant they knew who they wanted and went and got him.

What happened to Eze over the Summer that ended up us getting Odobert?

I'm not sure what your point is though. Yes, sometimes you play bad and still win - we did it a lot under Jose at the beginning of a season a few years back if remember rightly? But so what? That's more good fortune than anything else. I'd rather have good performances. I mean obviously I'd rather win games, but over time, i.e. over 38 games most seasons, it is the best football that has played the best football that has the most points. So yes, sometimes you can play badly and win, but we've not really been in a position to test that this season (in my opinion, today is the first game we've 'played badly', and we've not gotten lucky and won it - but it's just one game, it doesn't signify anything).
And what im saying is we're still not getting the results enough when we are playing well!! Were not getting the results playing bad either!

Oh man I temporarily forgot he had said that. Making blatantly hubristic statements like that is like asking the Universe itself to arrange itself against you and put you in your place. I hate when people I am close with say things like that publicly because you know you're being (publicly; dramatically) setup for a huge failure.

When you say "again", which games are you adding it to? We were awful today, worst league performance of this season by far. But 'again'? When did we last have a 'poor, poor game' in the league? We were excellent 1st half against Brighton, then threw it away in the 2nd half. We outplayed Newcastle and were very unlucky to lose there. I thought we were pretty good against woolwich, certainly not 'poor'. So what do you mean by 'again'? :/
So many teams we "outplay" and win null points.

Spurs are the UK of the European Song Contest, sound pretty good in rehearsals but live they sound like fingernails being dragged down a chalkboard.

Ange will win nothing with us, nothing, and he can say as many patronizing "mates" as he wants in his suck my dick prezzer meetings.

I agree. But so what? You can't do anything about either of those things. Over the long term, playing well usually does result in winning games, and I'm sure it will for us too. But playing badly and winning, that's some kind of dark arts that no one really understands. As i said before, under Jose didn't we start a season with loads of results that we didn't deserve? Weren't we top in early November that season? But, predictably, it wasn't sustainable, we fell apart for the rest of the season. To win consistently over the long term, you need to play well, that's the (pretty obvious) key. So performances are very important. Yes, I'd love so scrape a result that we don't deserve sometimes, but playing well over the long term is much more important for success - and for me, this season, we've mostly been playing very well.

Absolutely this. All of it. We were rubbish today, for the first time this season, in the league anyway. Hopefully just a bad day at the office, and hopefully therefore we'll be much better next week. :)
I get some people saying Coventry but that was a weakened team , we were full strength today but palace wanted it more , that is not an ability problem that’s a mentality problem , let’s hope Ange can fix it

Sahin not sure he would change much he is still new to coaching

I have watched every Brummie game this season so far, and Chris Davies has a side playing some very good football.

Maybe a fanciful suggestion but for all the "winners" Levy has hired how many have ground themselves into the dust after a season or two?

Fans said Jose and Conte were set in their ways, does anyone think Ange is open to tactical change?

Hurzeler is just thirty one, Iraola forty two, why can't we take a punt on up an coming (like we do with players) rather than an established journeyman?

Fascinating analogies. ;) But what was the answer to my question? I'll ask again: when you said 'poor, poor game from us again', which other game(s) were you referring to when we were so poor in your opinion? When this season in the league did we play as badly as we did today?

He offers nothing unless he gets on the end of a cross for a tap in. When you want out ball he is not your man. Too weak, not commited enough and never wants to beat a man. As for his general passing less said the better.
It true, when he's not scoring, it seems like he's not doing very much. I wish he would take his man on down the line much more- we are missing some directness in our running.

Great i hope we continue to play this well and finish 12th.
But as you say. So what. We cant do anything about it

Eze was right there and we dropped the ball.

Would have taken us to another level. It's even more laughable since we switched to this wild Kulu/Madders midfield experiment out of desperation.

The happy clappers were asking where he would play. The guy walks into our team.
