Nobody has any idea what Franks ceiling is as a manager, he’s done an incredible job at Brentford. Nobody knows how that translates at a bigger club.I don't get how anyone is excited by Frank. Yes we'll be more organised and harder to beat than under Ange. But that's it.
It's underwhelming. It's Nuno all over again. It just doesn't fit! It's an acceptance that challenging for top 4 every year is enough. That's the ceiling for spurs!
I’m sure when Dortmund hired klopp from mainz (who he was relegated with and failed to bring back up) there were people saying “what’s he won” but look how that turned out. There’s countless examples of managers doing a good job at a middling team, getting a move to a bigger club and excelling.
Frank isnt my number 1 choice, in fact he’s probably not top 3 but to say it’s “nuno all over again” is just such a lazy take. What i also don’t get is this narrative now that it HAS to be a big name manager who’s won stuff, when a couple years ago we apparently didn’t want that anymore because they don’t get their superstars and it doesn’t work. Nothing has changed in ownership because we won europa, any manager is still managing under the same circumstances as before.
Frank is a good manager, just how good he is we don’t know Til he takes the step up.
