You'd have expected him to learn a new dance move in 2 decades or so.

Attract a buyer/owner who isn't constricted by lack of cashflow due to personal wealth. Levy is a minority shareholder running a business on behalf of an entity = Lewis/ENIC who couldn't give a flying about the football side of things.

We need an iniquitous world dominating super richer owner who wants to make our Club his plaything.

I think people underestimate how absolutely chronic our attacking play has been .
Even against Brighton we should at least be playing some football.
It's fallacy to think Ange is Ardiles or a very attacking manager.

We had zero shots in the 2nd half and won with a scrappy fluky goal - we rarely play good fluid football or score a good goal.
Ange's football has been every bit as negative and boring as JM or Conte just in a different way .
The biggest difference is he likes his defenders to push up and leave gaps at the back. And he likes attackers who are good at defending .

He did the right thing yesterday given the line up and who was out - but it's not the way to go.
The bar for good attaching play has become unbelievably low. he took Johnson off and replaced him with Danso - and it made sense - we were not going to be able to score either way - might as well have an extra defender.

We had one breakaway chance - Udogie a fb hit a poorish pass to Solanke who fluffed it up . That sums up what we had to offer,.
The worst thing we can do - is think because we won it - we have not been absolute dross - especially the front three. All six in the squad have contributed to the dross. We won the EL in spite of them not because of them - bar perhaps Johnson who score a decent goal against Boda

Still think the league form just cannot be maintained or justified, personally.

That said I just don't think Levy will pull that trigger and, if Ange decides he's not done then were stuck with him. In that case I just hope he enjoyed his taste of success with MurderBall and has realised it's acceptable to use it when needed. It would be late on in his career to learn something new, but you never know.

TBF ; maybe the penny’s finally dropped with AP that there are more ( and often more effective) way of setting up teams to actually win games in the real world.

I wouldn’t be surprised that he’s actually got the message: and IF he stays then things may well be different next season.

Eh? That's clearly not true.

It might be true of the wider support which is generally full of normal people not us weird forum dwelling incels :D
I don't know. In addition to the sense of gratitude that he ended the trophy drought, there also seems to be a renewed optimism regarding his future here. That he finally turned some kind of a corner or something.

Or maybe people who never stopped believing in him are more vocal again. That's also possible.

Where on earth do you get that notion from? Two thirds in the poll want him gone. Take a look...

That poll is months old. I don't think anyone even bothered to change a vote (even if they had a change of heart) or to register a new one there in the last few months.

It doesn't reflect the current mood/opinion at all.

What’s he meant to do with Maddison , Kulu and Bergvail injured ?
Ange lead us to European glory , I might not think he is the right man for the job , but credit where it’s due

What now? Sodding revel in it

I actually couldn't care if next season is a car crash because, if you had asked me at any point would you sacrifice the following season for a night like last night I'd have done it every single time. Whatever happens I have enough joy to sustain me. Being firmly Ange out, that has all changed because everything's changed. We've changed. It's glorious

Sure but whether it's rational or not the circumstances have shifted rather dramatically. It's natural to feel sacking a bloke whose just brought you the greatest feeling in 40 years is slightly off...

But that decision will come down to Ange and Levy. There is nothing any fan can do to influence it now imo. My sense he's not interested in staying somewhere where so many have made it clear he's not welcome. I think Deuterz Deuterz is right about his psychology on that (although I'm much less harsh about it :D )

I agree it was the right tactics for the match.
But what about the rest of the season?
It's Ange's attacking players and his tactics.
Our attack is built in his image. And it's probably the 17th worst in the PL at best

Accept what just fell into our lap as an unexpected joy. Look at the whole project's downward trajectory, our woeful league position, and the need to play respectable CL football next year. Sack him, use CL football to bring in a pedigree manager and strengthen the team throughout. Return to being a top six club.

Or we can retain him, continue heading downward, sack him in October, and bring in whomever might be available that time of year to... mount a run in the Champion's League with Ange's sad group of players.

Come on. The choice is obvious. Let's be a proper club for once.
