At the time it seemed to me that Toby and Atletico basically ghosted them when it came time to make everything official, Toby obviously for the sake of going to a bigger club, and Atletico presumably for the sake of a few million extra on the fee.
In their mind he wasn't an ex-player, he was essentially their player, yet they got nothing for him...
