Match Spam vs Thee Mighty Tottenham Hotspur

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

OK... so we all agree we're allowed to be fucking pissed off about tonight without being accused of melting, ditching the team, supporting ArseAnal??

Tonight fucking hurt... not 'cos of the wider implications of the Title race (which was over, unless you were trying to sell Sky Sports subscriptions for May) but because losing hurts... agreed, we haven't lost much this year, but when we do, it hurts, OK, it's allowed to... and 'cos of the magnificent season we've had, a loss actually had greater ramifications on our Season, than if we were 9th or 10th...
Yes, this defeat has probably cost us what shred of possibility we had at winning the title... but there was always a shred of hope... and going into the weekend 1 point behind Chelsea might just have been nice for a change... but it wasn't to be... and so Chelsea will no doubt coast to the title... and West Ham will somehow form an allegiance with them, whilst convincing themselves that they managed to derail our title hopes... which technically, they did... but they didn't really, did they?

Fuck tonight... fuck West ham's/Chelsea's Title win... Fuck ArseAnal's/Chelsea FA Cunt win...
fuck them all...

Why can't we... just for one season, fuck the lot of them? Apparently, it's not in our DNA to do so!

That fucking hurt, a few too many players a bit below par. They were well up for it, got amongst us and disrupted us. Ref let to many niggly fouls go, shirt pulls, wrestling and it rattled us. We didn't fucking bottle it, we had an off day after many good days. As much as i hate those cunts, they got it right tonight and had a bit of luck with them (we really don't get a lot of luck, do we). I'm fucking angry but still proud of this team and manager, fucking senseless to turn on them now.So much to look forward to for us and let's be honest after their euphoria fades away like their dreams, what the fuck have they got to look forward to, 98 more years in that shithole.

I'll never turn on our team Chiv, but by fuck I can't look at all the bigger picture shit when we lose to cunts like them.

What was everyone on here watching tonight, the bigger picture or the fucking game ?

Don't even see the point of this Spurs team. They give you just enough for you to start hoping, then bottle it when the pressure is on.
Last season we could have closed the gap on Leicester. Lost.
This season we can close the gap on Chelsea. Lost.
They're skillful, athletic, technical but they still crack under any real pressure at all.
Straight out of the CL Straight out of the EL

Thrashed by Chelsea in the FA
Lost to Liverpool in the LC
Now lost the title to Chelsea via losing to West Ham. Brilliant.

Waste of time. Consistently the best team over 2 years, and for what? We've won fuck all and Chelsea/United could end the season with 2 trophies despite playing shit. So sick of it.
I've not paid much attention to your posts before... but this one stood out for me somewhat...
it's just dawned on me... you're either simply not Spurs and forgotten/not even bothering to hide it now, or just a bit of a dick?

You know we didn't lose the title to Chelsea, 'cos there was no title to lose...

Yes, Chelsea have almost certainly won it... but they didn't snatch it out of our hands to do so... we just never made up quite enough ground to catch them. There's a big difference...
I tell you who did "Lose the Title" quite spectacularly this season... Leicester!

...and as for
thrashed in the Cup Semi Final... and 'bottling it' when the pressure is on... have you simply formulated your opinions on what the Sky/Media have told you to think?

Hey be optimistic. Chelsea are going to have a collapse like we did last year. They are going to be so confident that we lost. Middlesbrough nick a draw. They start shitting bricks. They go into West Brom nervous about messing up. West Brom ground out a win with Chadli scoring the winner. Mourinho gets into the Europa final seeing it as his only chance to get Utd into Champions League. He wants to screw Chelsea so he throws the kids against us. We win and move within two points of Chelsea. Watford proceed to nick a draw and we crush Leicester for revenge and go into the final match ahead on goal difference. Last day agent Defoe helps us out and scores a winner as Agent Dawson scores an own goal to see us win and become champions! :tobyarm:

TBF this could actually happen, however unlikely. It's why it's not over...

Weird game. They were not any good. We lacked the drive we've had for 9 games previous. At no point today did I feel confident of it turning round which is a strange feeling after the previous two months. Still, we were never winning every game until I die, just a shame it had to end there. Tenner on Chelsea to lose to Boro

I'm sorry but it was a PHONEY title race that Sky hyped up with Chelsea 7 points ahead ages ago. The FA support Chelsea, giving them the easiest run-in anyone could have dreamed, while Spurs had the hardest, inc away to enemy today, home to Arse and United and away to Leicester (Champions) last match of season.

Even Sky didn't want a close race, as they always packed their studio every Tottenham match with gooners like Alan Smith, Henry, Quinn, etc (they even had Lampard for one Spurs game with Henry) so I'm glad it didn't go any longer when we really had zero chance of winning it.

Let's get second place and not fall apart like last year and gloat if the gooners fail to make top four!

Do you think the players thought it was 'job done' after ArseAnal?? After all, we 'only' need 2 more points to secure 2nd... we've 3 more games to do it... then again, we only needed 1 or 2 points in 3/4 games last season and look how that turned out!

I hope beyond fuckery we've learned our lesson from last season... but on tonight's showing, it felt like some of the old habits were still there... we need to shake them out of our system for the next/final three games!

My overwhelming view is how unprofessional Wet Spam's players are. For 34 games they have shown themselves to be relegation candidates. For 1 game they show up and play like Champions. Just shameful in context. Sure they won't see the context. But that's the fact.

I am also alarmed by our own performance, but understand why it happened. The pitch was sticky being my only valid excuse, but really something was up from the Start. Dembele probably a key issue meaning Ali was too deep and Kane isolated. Horrible to see such basics problems. I watched Poch's pre match interview and he was more angry than normal. I wonder how much the Walker / Toby / Rose rumors got into everyone this week. It must play a part. That said it was a horrible performance.

Going forward now it is 3 must wins to prove our value. We must not repeat last season again. We have every reason to be proud, but collapsing like last year will leave a lot of questions to be answered and taint a fantastic year.

Pikes won their final.
We put them on par with palace.
Dogshit stadium:
Hardly any atmosphere until they scored.
Even then, only two sections.
Vermin, scum club .'

I kinda get why the world and his wife wanted Leicester's Fairyfuckingtale to happen last season... it made a good 'underdog' story...
...but this season, we're the underdog... so why do SKY want Chelsea to win so much...? Do they have a vested interest?££££$£$£$$$$£?

Agree , Sky hype shit for above it's worth, every fuckwit in the country now believes that the spammers stopped us winning the title, the chavs winning their remaining games will have nothing to do with that, it was the spammers that stopped us !:pochshock:

And you are sooooooooooo right about the way they cover our games, it's a disgrace, gooners having to be comforted by the presenters because we beat them and finished above them, gooners ALWAYS having to be comforted by the presenters whenever anything nice is said about us.

About time we as club and supporters did something about it.

Word for word, that's pretty much what was said about CH£L$EA'S players this time last season... when they were celebrating the 2-2 like they'd won the league instead of Leicester Fairytale.com...
...well this season, they probably have... and here we are again, watching West ham celebrating someone else's title like they'd won the World Cup (which of course they did... History proves it!)

I just don't fucking get it!

WE as fans shouldn't. THFC as a club shouldn't pretend there's a rivalry in terms of PR, history, etc. However, that doesn't mean the players and manager should ignore the fact that their one way rivalry means they'll turn up on the day and possible play against form. In other words, I'm saying we should expect a tough game regardless. The sort we'd expect against a higher placed side. I'm not saying that we as fans should humour their "bitter rivals" garbage, but because we as fans don't give it any significance, it doesn't mean the Spam fans and players will stop doing so.

Do you follow?

I do see what you are driving at, but it somewhat disregards the fan/player relationship (if indeed one buys into such stuff)... 12th man etc. if you prefer.

Is it reasonable to expect the players buy into the spirit of a WH/TH derby if we as Tottenham supporters just sit back all smug thinking "Be jealous, pikeys!"...?

Before accounting for crowd numbers, squad-quality or whatever; between our supporters and players, isn't it up to us to, man-for-man, match the oppo (and their fans) for intensity? ...Even in a more sporting, less sensational environment; this is competition and if called out/challenged, bravado-aside, what else do you have but to step up and show n' prove come game-time (as fans or players)?

We stepped up when mouthy Millwall tried to make a name off of us; at home to Chelsea earlier this season and vs the Gooners last weekend... Tonight and so-far in the recent fued that Leicester have picked with us; not so much. Yeah, one can pick through the bones for blame or consolation if they wish, but I don't see where there is to 'hide' when things don't go our way so just choose to take it on the chin and just look forward to the next opportunity to beat any bunch of cunts that wants to take umbrage with us.

(Then again, I simply dislike WH because I find their fans unpleasant - Hardly football pure-ism lol - so shoot me if you think me blinkered....)

P.s. Proud of the boys... Tonight changes nothing.

The worst was the commentary. Fucking Alan Smith....again. All he could do was bang on about West Ham the entire game. Barely said a word about us.
