Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Him and Lewa are so far ahead of every other striker, in my view.

And he has 37 goals and 8 assists in 33 matches.

Kane and Son just a few goals away from getting to be the most lethal goalscoring combo in PL history (to beat Drogba/Lampard combo - currently on 34 need to get to 38 or more with both involved in a goal.

Think its beneficial to look at player combos statistics* (eg 2 x CB's) etc not just individual performances as its such a team sport.

Oh, well. I've still got 2 cojones but here are the possible not very interesting stats.
I'm pretty sure that 59 games is the most Spurs first team has ever played in one season?
I'm also confident that 124 goals scored is the most goals scored in a season this century and possibly the 2nd most scored in a season of all time?
Is it a stretch to suggest 34 won games is the joint 2nd highest in our history along with 2018-19?

Imagine if we had a defence to go with that attack

OK, I am gonna tempt fate and resurrect this thread.
Same points as this time last season (admittedly after a disastrous Aurier inspired crash games 12-14).
WHU this year's Everton?
1Liverpool141731
2Leicester14927
3Man Utd13726
4Everton14626
5Tottenham141125

Against "same" teams we are plus 8.

West Ham will eventually tire because of Europe. Their squad isn't strong enough. We need to get out of it, they're already through to the knock out stage and seem to go fairly strong.

I don't know if this is the most, but Spurs played 66 competitive games (including the Charity Shield) in the 1981-82 season.

Just discovered we played 68 games 1971-72.

PL top 4 finishes per club
Manchester United25
Woolwich21
Chelsea18
Liverpool14
Manchester City11
Spurs6
Newcastle5
Leeds, Blackburn3
Aston Villa2
Everton, Leicester, Nott. Forest, Norwich1

We'd be up to 7 if we manage it this season.
Utd. remarkably had 22 consecutive top 4 seasons until 2014

Worth noting the top 4 wasn't a thing until 4 CL spots were allocated to the PL though. Top 3 was the measurement.

The top 5 chart is more favorable to us and even shows our minuscule neighbors to the east:
Manchester United26
Woolwich24
Chelsea20
Liverpool16
Manchester City12
Spurs11
Newcastle, Leeds7
Everton4
Blackburn, Aston Villa, Leicester3
Norwich, Nott. Forest, QPR, Ipswich, West Ham1

Interesting to note here how city just bolted from midtable straight to the top. Chelsea had some decent seasons in the 90's to note at least

IF (IF IF IF) we win at Norwich that will put us on 71 pts our third best PL points tally (jointly with 2018/19) more than 2015/16 when we finished third!

IF we win then 22 wins will likewise be our third best PL season tally after 2016/17 (26) and 2017/18+2018/19 (23).

If we finish above Woolwich it will be the 6th consecutive season we'll do so. the longest stretch since 1959/60 to 1967/68 (9 seasons run)

We could also end the season with 16 clean sheets. Which I think equals out best ever in the PL. Given the horror show under Nuno, it's pretty fucking good.

Under Poch we'd win games like the NLD 3-1 or 4-1 instead of 3-0. We had a habit of giving away consolation goals and sucker puches to the likes of Burnley and Newcastle.

The one that stands out there for me is Deki. That boy has the potential to be an absolute star for us.

Things that stand out:

- Kane had an underrated season.
- The Lucas/Kulu constrast is exiting but also damning for Lucas.
- Doherty still underrated. Could explode next season.
- CBs and DMs need to contrbute A LOT more goals + assists. How has Dier not managed to get that enormous head on th end of at least one cross.
