Match Spurs v Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League - Tues 30th Sept - KO: 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You didn't watch our last few games?

After a strong start, we were outclassed by Bournemouth. He said he had learnt from it.

We won against Villarreal, but we had an awful game and were lucky with the huge GK error.

Then we drew with Brighton, beat Doncaster and last weekend a horrible draw against Wolves, bottom of the league at the time.

Todays game was another flop.

Can't really say we're getting better. Would you?
I've watched all our games cheers. We're not as bad as you and others make out.

Not a fan of 4-3-3. 4-3-2-1 or glasners 3-4-2-1 i like. Dominate midfield. That's the engine.
Formation is a red herring IMO, it may hide certain glaring issues and expose others. Still don't like the idea of going 3ATB for extended periods when 1 injury in that formation sees Ben Davies getting serious pitch time atm. Maybe when Dragusin is fit we can experiment with that. Certainly Palhinha has come in and shown instantly how poor our more senior midfielders are, arguably the first CM to come into our team since Dembele who has actually looked worthy of playing for a top 4 side.

Even though I really like guys like Sarr, Gray and Bergvall, we really should have upgraded on Bentancur in the summer to a top 4 quality 8, I didn't really want Gallagher when we were linked but he is legitimately better than all of our midfielders in the 8 role.

I also think we have a lot of players that shouldn't be near our team. Still, Franks job is to make them play well as a unit. And Bodo shows that you don't need fantastic individual players to play good football. It's a team game, and how we perform as a team is Frank's responsibility.
Maybe he can, but it is going to take time. You are not going to shrug off finishing 17th, whilst wholesale changes at teh club are going on.

Especially with a man (Levy) that had no idea what he was doing on the football side of things.

As I keep saying all over the place, it's going to take years to sort out properly.

Just to pedestrian, not dynamic enough, not just tonight but most games this season.
Early days and hopefully as our "rhythm" grows this will improve. Just hope its sooner rather than later!

The way we attack. Just compare it with the opposition and see how fluid they look. Our build up play is extremely slow, and it's all about safety first. Yes, we have a more solid defence, but you can't just play not to concede goals. All we do is play it to winger for a cross. That's not good football.

I'm completely missing smart link up play. We can blame the players, but that's something you work in training so everyone are on the same page.

It's really uninspiring watching his game plans, and the teams are coping with it easily.
We started with...

----Bergvall----Bentancur----Sarr----
---Johnson----Richie----Odobert----

A toddler could tell you that was gonna be limited af.

Look at that front 3... it stinks.

We just don't have the players to support the kind of rotation he wanted for this game.

Not with injuries we currently have to solanke and Kolo, especially.

Frank had no problem attacking at Brentford.

Fluidity wasn't an issue.

Whilst he's still getting to grips with the players and who he can trust, to rotate in a way that doesn't completely gut us, we have to give him some time.

We're 4th in the league and 4th in the CL.

Give the guy credit for honouring his words that he's focusing first on making us resilient and difficult to beat.

Doing exactly that.

If we go on and have our players back and we're still not as fluid as we should be, then I'll join you, but for now it's clear we're still a work in progress.

And I doubt we'll ever see that front three starting again.

Rancid.

In no way is this an excuse for our play tonight but...

The pitch seemed a lot more of a factor than it did five or six months ago. Harder to play on, more slippery, harder to judge the run of the ball.

Two things I noticed - first, the bounce of the ball was unpredictable. There was a long ball played from deep in our half to the centre circle in the closing minutes. Instead of the bounce taking it on, as our midfielder expected, it seemed to bounce nearly vertically. Secondly, there was that weird slightly raised crease just inside the touchline on the left that threw Djed Spence when he tried a bit of skill. A crease on a football pitch?
I spotted that as well couple times.

We should have used that training session yesterday to get familiar with the pitch, especially since tactics we "trained" at hotspur way instead was not effective at all.

He's spot on hence this type of response.

You literally post just to tell everyone how shit they are as fans. Nobody knows your stance on anything football related because you're not here for that. You're here to start cyber wars because you're bored.
Apart from all the comments I've made about the management of tonights game, the performance and my opinions about how we should approach games like this....

What you don't understand is that I only want to talk to people about the actual football are people who actually possess coherent and mature levels of understanding.

You're not one of them. Discussions on footballing matters (with you) is like talking to a child. It's not my job to educate you, and I doubt I could, given the level of your posts

This is just silly post with absolutely no context of what has been happening at the club for the last few years, decade or two.

You have absolutely no nuanced thought about how Frank is supposed to get us into CL, progress in CL, and aim to challenge for both cups, with a squad that is paper thin, chock full of mediocre players, and only 6 games into a new season, inheriting a cluster-fuck of mess that left us in 17th last season.

And you say he is devoid of idea's, but has only lost one game in ten matches, currently sitting 4th in the league.

Thou needs to sit back and be patient, because if you can understand the circumstances of what has been happening, then don't say anything at all.

No manager in the world would be able to sort out this fecking mess Levy left us in less than 6 games.

Poch took 6 months to before things finally started to click and players brought into his method... Woolwich embarrassed us in Poch's first game against them... We lost 3-0 or 3-1 one, something like that an ran rings round us.

Posting stuff like that is embarrassing.
We've been dreadful, not just bad, dreadful. Our fixture list has been a cake walk. We're 4th after 8 games, against teams all bar one we should be beating. We don't have XI injured like last season, which was an anomaly. I was Ange out before you say it.

Come back to me at the end of November and December and tell me how well we're doing, because of we play like this, we're going to get embarrassed.

We have more than enough quality to create anything that isn't a cross, teams much worse than us can. Even Doncaster could've had a couple against us and we made them look good because of how bad we are attacking. Say what you want about Ange, he was able to implement his style straight away. What the hell are we seeing now. I'm sure you were glad to see the back of Nuno, his performances weren't a million miles off these. We've got very lucky in a lot of games so far.

There's not even a hint of cohesive football. That's my issue. We're creating nothing that isn't just getting it out wide and crossing, or set pieces. I'm utterly baffled that this isn't concerning to you.

Poch had us going well when he started. Looking at the results now, not sure where you're plucking this 5 months nonsense out of. Before Christmas we got beat well by City and Liverpool, and by devine intervention lost to West Brom after absolutely battering them all game and their keeper had a career day, that was it. We scored goals, and beat teams well.

Posting stuff like you have is embarrassing.

Apparently you only get 45 minutes to train on it, Frank didn't think it was worth it given that people would be watching. Who knows?

At any rate, thank god we won't be playing there again this season (or on another similar pitch).
