Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Former Spurs Jordan Archer and Rafferty Pedder start for QPR in their friendly against Sparta Prague

Elsewhere Dilan Markanday starts for Blackburn - think its only about 3rd time due to an injury in his 2nd game for Blackburn after his move 18 months or so ago.

Always good to see former Spurs play in league football - its a good level and shows their training at Spurs has benefitted them.

Not so much youth, but who is the better keeper, Austin or Whiteman?
Hard to say because we've not really seen much of either recently. Austin never really held down the 1st team GK spot when he was loaned to MLS a couple of seasons ago and Whiteman got dropped towards the end of his loan last year in the swedish top division. Last season, Austin got a clean sheet in his only game in PL2 and Whiteman played twice in PL2, with 1 clean sheet but gave away a pen in the other game in a 3-2 loss to Blackburn u21s. I think Whiteman was probably better rated when he was coming through the academy but not sure where they stand now, bit surprised they're both still here tbh

IIRC didn't former goalkeeper Nuno, during his brief stint in charge of our famous club, rate Whiteman as one of our more promising young players?

Contract situation doesn't tell us that much. Austin's contract extended last year to June 2024, Whiteman's contract extended earlier this year now believed to be June 2024 as well.

One will certainly go, probably on loan, this window preferably to a Championship side so as to come back as a more genuine no 3 GK candidate for first team.

Keeley has spent one season at Spurs so needs another 2 years here to qualify as HG or Club trained - really do not want to waste an overseas trained place on a 3rd GK.

Still counts as long as he goes on loan to an English club, does it not.
Austin and Whiteman just seem to be treading water. Surpised they are still here. As a young player the last thing you want to be is 3rd choice keeper in a first team squad, you are not going to play. They both need to be out on loan. Third choice keepers are usually an elderly English keeper.

I suspect it's because neither are up to first team scratch, sad to say.

Good - we used to do these sort of training camps (often Belgium or similar) pre covid. G

Ideal for team bonding, focus on full time training for first year scholars used to training a couple of times a week etc.
