Santiago as striker doesn't fill me with confidence - I know Donley injured, not sure if Lankshear back from injury, but had hoped Williams and Ajayi might be involved or Soonsup-Bell

I assume a 433, possibly something like this :

Maguire,
Andiyapan, Dorrington, Sayers, Robson,
Lyons-Foster (C), Kyerematen, Cassanova
McKnight, Santiago John

Wonder who is on bench ?

Missing tonight :

On first team tour : Devine, Scarlett, Keeley,
Injured : - Donley, Abbott, Parrott
Injured at end last season, recovering ? - Ashcroft, Lankshear
Unknown reason : Heaps, Linton, Paskotsi, Williams

Reliable press report from Lancs say the signing of Ashley Philips from Blackburn is imminent and we will look to fly him out to Asia. There were reports last year that Paratici was sniffing around Rovers. For Philips. F604 tall centre half. 18yrs old.

His Head Coach, Tony Mowbray, was an old-fashioned CB rather than a modern ball-playing one. But should be a pretty good judge of a CB.

--------------------------------------

Speaking in November 2021, then first team manager Tony Mowbray described Phillips as "phenomenal" and as well as being 6 ft 4' tall he commented on his ball playing ability, stating: "He's fast, mobile and can pass it really well. He can use both feet, he's composed..if you were to create a defender in the mould of how you would want one, this kid has got every attribute."[15]

story originated from Mirror journalist :

Linked for over a year. Blackburn owners told to curtail overseas investment by Indian government recently, hence the timing of his transfer

£3m is a good fee for Spurs

Ange less committed about actual signing date 'this summer' was one phrase, 'as soon as possible' another phrase but a lot of journos say 'next 24 hours'. So take your pick..... but it will happen when it happens !
