Being small isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as he isn't constantly getting bullied off the ball by teams like Stoke... but hopefully they'll fuck off with their terrible football now Pulis has gone. He's only a little smaller than Lennon and he doesn't get bullied per say.

Soldado's open to a move to the perm (or the Bundesliga) we should snap him up. Though he said that he was attracted by the atmosphere so I don't know whose been showing him English football

Well that's the point. He says he's not bullied off the ball, and in the clip uses Zico, Messi, and Romário as examples of little guys who could still fight through bullying defenses. Anyway.

To me he looks like one of those south-american fellas with a centre of gravity so low, they really can't fall.

Tottenham to monitor Bernard during Confederations Cup

A Tottenham representative will be in Brazil to follow Bernard's progress during the Confederations Cup, reports Lancenet.
The representative will come by the weekend and will watch some Confederations Cup games along with Bernard's agent Adriano Spadoto.
Bernard has already been capped three time for Brazil, as he played matches against Argentina, England and France.
The winger has recently stated that he will not leave the club before Copa Libertadores is over, in late July.
The Brazilian sports news site reports that Tottenham have offered 16 million Euros for the young star, while Dortmund offered €12m. Atlético Mineiro, however, demand around €20m, although could accept to sell if they receive €18m.
Bernard has also already expressed his preference to play in the English league rather than in the Bundesliga.
Agent Giuliano Bertolucci has been conducting the negotiations, he has contacts in England and was involved in the transfers of other Brazilian players, such as Ramires, David Luiz, Lucas Piazon and Oscar.
Porto had previously been interested in Bernard, but their offer was deemed too low, and they are now out of the race.
Lancenet reports that Barcelona's Ibrahim Afellay and Fulham's Alex Kacaniklic are the alternate option if Tottenham fail to sign Bernard.

I understand that the stats aren't complete because the article was written in April, but still pretty telling. The passing statistic helps that Benteke will help with build up play much more than Ade and Defoe were doing. And this last stat is pretty ridiculous...
Ariel Duels per game:
Benteke - 8.4
Defoe - .2
Ade - 1.6
Biter - .4
