If he can get fully fit, then I agree - Would be a gamble, but the way last season's mixed bag have turned out, I don't think Levy is too arsed about that.

I'm scared of Jay Rod. That's a scary injury. Non contract injuries always are...

Wouldn't mind getting Rodriguez at all. Probably won't be massively effective this season but if Pochettino wants him I feel good about it. If we want any chance of success with MP we need to look long term because this year will likely be a transitional one. Rodriguez fits that type of thinking.

Genuine question re J-Rod: Is sports medicine really shit in England? Y'all seem so scared of these cruciate ligament injuries. If you tear your ACL in America, you go see a doctor of sports medicine, and they tell you you'll be back on the field in 6-8 months or whatever, and that is that. Failing to recover from a cruciate ligament injury seems like such a thing of the past. And it's not just world class atheletes, everyone I know with ACL/MCL damage have made full recoveries. I know footballers come to see specialists in America on occasion, just wondering how much worse the doctors actually are over there.

Ceballos came from the Barca youth system. It's not unheard of to snatch someone from a youth system.
