Jay, for me, is vastly overrated and is not very technically gifted at all. I don't see him as an upgrade at all - we may as well have kept Siggy if we wanted an average player who can score goals.

Schneiderlin I rate really highly, but I'm a bit disappointed that we are chasing him when we already have so many CMs that you would think are capable. Capoue could play the Schneiderlin role in my opinion, and could be a lot more imposing in that position due to his physical attributes.

I'd much rather we went after a crafty left winger who fits the bill along with our other technical players, as well as a solid (possibly starting) CB.

Capoue and Schneiderlin will probably play next to each other. MS often played a more box to box role next to a more defensive player in Wanyama or Cork.

Tiger Woods had ACL surgery and came back from it.

I don't like the idea of getting an injured player, but if Poch wants Jay Rodriguez I see no reason to question it yet. Granted, that takes the fun out of the forum, but still. If he's going to be out until October that's potentially only two games we really need him for (Liverpool and Woolwich). More than likely he wouldn't be thrown into the fire with Manchester City, so probably count him out of that one too. Every other match SHOULD be winnable without him.

Unbelievable that you can doubt my credentials with a track record like mine.

It's clear that I dine at the topiest of all the tables.

Ha I can beat you both... 17th july if you please..I spoke to a Mate of mine and he said that Schneiderlin was the one player Poch was going to sign..

Well if you were saying he was the ONE player we were going to sign you're wrong already.

Genuine question re J-Rod: Is sports medicine really shit in England? Y'all seem so scared of these cruciate ligament injuries. If you tear your ACL in America, you go see a doctor of sports medicine, and they tell you you'll be back on the field in 6-8 months or whatever, and that is that. Failing to recover from a cruciate ligament injury seems like such a thing of the past. And it's not just world class atheletes, everyone I know with ACL/MCL damage have made full recoveries. I know footballers come to see specialists in America on occasion, just wondering how much worse the doctors actually are over there.
The trouble is you guys wear so much padding you don't know if you've turn ur ACL or ruptured a toe nail
