Transfers Summer 2016 Transfer Window Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It's not just me though is it? Others on here will agree get our deals done early and better plan our start to the season. Seen it time and again where we have not hit the ground running, due to trying to sign players at the last minute.

Get players integrated into the training methods and team philosophy during pre-season.

It's not rocket science.
After the Euro's finish we will be in Australia in July, I think it will be hard to get all transfers in before we start our pre season.
What happens if we go to the final of the Euro's. We could have half our team at the Euro's on July 10th. We then play Juve etc 2 weeks later on the 26th
The season kicks of on August 13th. That doesn't leave a lot of time for our own players to have a pre season this year, let alone buying players and integrating them pre season.

Any player hoping for big money move after a successful showing at the Euro's would surely want a rest? Not to be faffing about with a transfer, straight into moving countries, new training and getting used to new team mates. All deals shall be done in August due to all teams standing still waiting or new players. Yours is an excellent point DeeGee most of our technical staff and squad won't be around for new players to integrate as we'll be on the other side of the world. As a planning matter the earlier the better but it's delusional of me to think we could do our business early.
