According to the Beeb gossip page, Bayern have agreed a fee for £19m fucking hell that is cheap considering the supposed calibre of player, albeit in his last year. Then you see the crazy figures banded about for Joe Average in the Premier League.

There is no calibre. Nobody wanted him except us and Dortmund. The fee, plus that tells you all you need know about how he's viewed around the footballing world at the minute. Lowe completely dropped him from Germany as well after two matches and he didn't feature again, a team that couldn't finish to save their lives.

This isn't the Gotze from three years ago and it's shocking how you and many others cannot seem to realize that. But hey, you're right and all the top clubs are clearly wrong!

Fee is relative to a player in the final year of their contract. Also Bayern still wanted rid and still able to get £19m. Given the right environment the Gotze of three years ago can still reappear, he's 24 not 34. He is exactly the type of player we could do with signing. With the coaching staff we have and youthful side, someone like him could thrive.

Then again Dortmund are a 'shit' side and not getting a smart deal signing him back.

He had a good time at Dortmund, and I see the logic in wanting to go back, from his perspective. I would love it if we could sign him, but he doesn't seem to want to leave Germany.

Such is life...

Being dropped after the first two matches speaks to form.

Getting in the starting 11 of the World Champions - even when out of form - speaks to class and calibre. The fact that Low afforded him the chance to play his way into form in that team says the most imo. But you go ahead and brush over the first two matches

Sell! Bring in Juanfran.

Juanfran is a right back

Real Betis have agreed a deal to sign Toni Sanabria from Roma for a fee of €7.5 million (£6.3m). The Italian club have the option to buy the striker back for €11m (£9.2m) by the end of 2017-18 or for €14.5m (£12.1m) after 2018-19. The 20-year-old scored 11 goals in 29 games on loan at Gijon last season.

Won't speculate on whether he would have been good enough for us.

However, with the Spanish league winning everything in sight in Europe, that's a pretty lowball price compared to these shores.

What would a striker with 11 in 29 for a bottom club at 20 year old cost transfered between PL clubs? 15-20m? Probably even more, if the Deeney bid is any kind of measuring stick :adewtf:

Watford turned down 30 for Deeney from Leicester, right?

And another 30 for Ighalo from China.

If you can't replace your strikers for 60 million, then I think you need to have a long, hard look in the mirror.
