I'm pretty sure that it's been written in a number of articles that, along with playing under Poch, one of his primary motivations in wanting to join Spurs is that he wants to play with Dele, Dier and Kane.

The nonsense for us it seems is that we can't or won't compete at the higher end of the transfer market. You know I get that because outlays for Morata and Lukaku of upwards of 65 million just in transfer fees is incomprehensible to me and I just do not see how either can ever justify such an outlay.
Our issue is that we just seem on the other hand to also not want or be able to find anyone at the other inflated end of the scale who is seen as good value.

I have said on numerous occasions that we want players who are playing for the shirt and they want to be a part of the Spurs project. Catch the latest interview with Hugo on ESPN and he puts it really well.

By all accounts, Levy loves to sign players (lots of quotes from past managers to support this) and Poch is quite fussy.
It really wouldn't surprise me if Barkley was our only sure interest right now (and we're waiting until everyone Everton get real).
It also wouldn't surprise me if MP was looking at what our existing lot (academy included) can offer over a new signing.
I mean, how much would a player cost that would be like for like with Winks last season?

It appears Barkley may have set his sites on joining us but I expect it to happen at the end of the window. Any interest from Woolwich is just trolling.
Good point but I think we have seen, mostly last season that there are times when a drop in our quality is that miniscule difference between success and an insufferable near miss.
I would hate for us and Pochettino to become the new Woolwich, settling for player development and caution over a willingness to go for a couple of big name stars, with a bit of all round baggage that they bring.
And I refer back to my point of a couple of days ago that our squad as it stands cannot compete on 4 fronts in an effective way and this season we need to at least be in touching distance of a trophy. Minimum requirement I would say.
