Transfers Summer 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One of today's papers claimed that we are letting Llorente go.

Think they are just looking at contract lengths - Llorente's contract comes to an end on 30 June but Spurs have an option to extend it by one year.

Personally think we need to bring in a striker/AM as understudy to Kane as Llorente isn't someone who can play several games a week, and we all know if we play 60 games a season Kane will want to play 50 so better to have someone who plays as an AM/Striker to cover 2 positions.

ATM we have 5 AM's - Son, Dele, Eriksen, Moura and Lamela and when two AM's or one of them and Kane is injured or needs a rest, we have been really stretched this season (accentuated by Lamela often being injured as well).

BTW Transfer Window opens on Thursday May 16 and close on 8 August at 5pm, just before the first game of PL season.

But the FIFA TW still ends on 2 September, so international transfers don't start until 2 June.

Most European leagues will follow the FIFA timescales so leaves PL clubs

The Championship will follow the same TW as PL, but Leagues 1 and 2 will follow the FIFA TW.

Most European leagues will follow FIFA TW so putting PL clubs with the earlier close to the TW at a disadvantage to the European clubs.
