When we bought Llorente he'd just scored 14 EPL goals in a shit Swansea team... He wasn't past it; we just left him to rust on our bench.
Llorente did what he needed to do. Headers, shielding etc. Thought he was ok in season 2 tbh.

I watched a fair deal of Monaco during the current/previous season and Slimani was great for them. 9 goals and 7 assists and part of a great duo with Ben Yedder.
I assume that the plan would be to utilize him similarly. As a big target man used to soak up pressure from the backline and set up goals rather than score a plenty.

I thought he was worth a punt when we signed him, but since then he’s lost his place in the national team, and has a dismal scoring record in the mighty Mexican league. A real success story that one.
