Probably not true, but replace Ndombele with Donny Van de Beek from Ajax, plus get in a striker as back up for Kane and the big centre back from Korea, then we truly are extremely strong going into the season. VDB would be an expectational signing.

When was the last time you saw Skriniar play?
Not like there have been any super recent rumours on this one, but confirmation that the Sabitzer dream is dead.
It was always an odd rumour from Sabitzer's and RB's perspective.
Son-GLC-Sabitzer playing behind Kane would have been awesome to see, especially if Ndombele came right, but it was always a more of a pipe dream than reality.
Last time I saw Skriniar play would have been a European game, since I don't have access to Serie A.
But more relevant than my view is what this Inter fan, Imperator, said on TFC a few days ago.

When I first saw Skriniar, he reminded me of a young Vidic. A physically dominating, absolutely no nonsense, CB.
Conte is a coach who rates personal loyalty and suitability for his tactical system above all else.
That's why he bought Ashley fucking Young as a RWB, and could find no place for a mercurial talent like Eriksen.
So I'm intensely relaxed about Conte freezing Skriniar out.
I watched all of Inter's recent Europa games, and they were solid at the back playing with Godin-de Vrij-Bastoni. No sign of Skriniar other than a very late sub appearance to double down on defence.
Since I haven't seen him play recently, I can't say whether he's lost some physical skills (unlikely since he's still only 25, an age when most defenders are still developing), or confidence, or is just pissed off with Conte.
But at 22-23 Skiriniar was a beast.
It doesn't matter to me if Conte has frozen him out. I think Conte is very handsome, but I don't want to talk about him. I want to know what you think Skriniar's strengths and weaknesses are (in the year of our Lord, 2020).

As I said, he reminds me of Vidic. Imposing, dominant, reads the game well, not super fast, OK but not great on the ball.
He also reminds of a right-footed version of Walter Samuel, the Argentine CB who was a key part of Mourinho's Inter defence.
Both those players are the type of CBs Mourinho loves.

Racism and all the accompanying problems are rife in eastern Europe. Rakitic and many others are products from the war and the whole history of the region. Not trying to excuse it. Just want to get it in perspective. Scratch the surface of a lot of this post war generation and something unpleasant is often lurking beneath.
don’t agree mate. VDB is more of an attacking midfielder and with PEH now our main man in defensive midfield, we will need another midfielder to partner GLC. That was supposed to be Ndombele, but we all know he isn’t going to make it at Spurs, so a straight swap of a hungry VDB instead of Ndombele makes perfect sense. A midfield/attack of PEH, GLC , VDB and Son, Bergwijn and Kane is extremely strong.
VdB is a carbon copy of Dele and as such isn’t needed. If we are going down the creative route we need to be looking at someone with similarities of eriksen. A proper creative player.
I really don't think the following MF combo is in JMs plans:
GLC / PEH / VDB
...Much like GLC / PEH / Ndombele wasn't.
I'd expect PEH / Winks (or equivalent) + GLC (or equivalent) in front.
It might not be all settled for van de Beek regarding going to Utd :
