what we need is a playmaker that will play next to PEH and push Ndombele or GLC closer to the final third.

Recent games with Ndombele forced to play deep has taken out the best part of his game, so much so that some fans are even doubting his quality.

Skipp is not ready to start for us yet but should get minutes as a sub in the double pivot, which would allow us to rest PEH or the playmaker against weakeropposition without having to field winkssoko.
Ndombeles best part of his game is playing from deep and breaking the press with his dribbling. That is what we bought him for. Ask any of the lyon following guys on this board. He killed people playing in a 3 in midfield, which we have yet to play him in. But his strengths have always been breaking the press with his vision and ability to make people look like children.

Make a case for him, then, Tottmeister, before I go and watch the little Joe Pesci doppelganger.

He's probably been the best central midfielder in Serie A this season.

And Inter Milan would be fucking mental to sell him. So for people to turn their nose up at someone unattainable is laughable to me. Especially one who absolutely walks into our starting eleven with his shoelaces tied together.

I'm assuming you didn't watch the Milan derby at the weekend - if so, give that a watch. Barella was fantastic.

I want you to be very specific about his strengths and weaknesses for me, before I go off for a gander over the weekend.

I'd say he was the closest thing to Modric in terms of style.

Positionally brilliant, elegant on the ball, reasonably press resistant and progresses the ball exceptionally well. Conte has made him the perfect little mezzala.

Now I don't watch Inter religiously - probably more than most, but I can't really tell you a true weakness. Maybe he lacks a bit physically? But nothing that's truly hindered him. He bossed Franck Kessie at the weekend who's rather physical.

I know you're going to watch the game but here is a little clip of his performance against Meelan.

Ndombele has been playing in a 3 man midfield, alongside PEH with an AM (Lamela/Moura/Dele/Bale) ahead of him. That is simply not his best position and it shows with his performances dropping off.

You break the high press with quick passing and moving in to space, not with dribbling. You dont want your pivots dribbling in front of your back four. Ndombele needs to play further up the pitch than he is currently doing.
