According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs are keen on signing Torino midfielder, Sasa Lukic, as an alternative to Marcel Sabitzer.

The 17-cap star is wanted by a host of Italian clubs.

However, Spurs and Palace may hold the advantage, with it claimed Lukic prefers a move to London if possible. That, of course, could very much put the ball in Daniel Levy’s court if Jose Mourinho wants the deal.

Lukic has played 21 times for Torino this season, scoring three goals. Very much an all-action midfielder, he can play through from a number six to a number ten if required.

For once I hope we go with the main target rather than a bargain basement alternative

Not holding my breath though

CB: Sanchez & Foyth (27M) → P. Torres (40M)

Pau Torres is a good shout, he's a fine, fine player. Two possible problems though - Madrid are thought to be interested in him as a replacement for Sergio Ramos and a couple of weeks ago Villarreal upped his buy-out clause from €50 million to €65 million (contract to 2014), saying they had no intention of negotiating.

Wages wise, they would seem to be pretty low at the minute - around £35,000 a week (gross)

Madrid are getting Alaba to replace Ramos.
But if we get Militao, I guess it's possible they could afford, and would have space in the squad for, Torres.

€65 million = £55 million. If we can get that down to £50 million I hope that is affordable, because it's definitely needed.

I think he's actually played a couple of games at LM/LW as well as Hoffenheim. I doubt we'd be dictating where he plays to be honest, although I'm sure we gave them our thoughts and they'd have watched him play in various positions too before signing him.

I don't know where his future lies, or if it's actually with us, I never really rated him as a LB, but he doesn't appear to have developed on as a LM/LW, so...who knows, be good if he's developed the LB/defending side of his game at Hoffenheim, might save us a few quid.

At Fulham he played both, but aside from speed his chief attribute playing as a LW seemed to be being in the right place right time as most of his goals seemed to be tap ins, and he didn't score much in P, just didn't have the creative skills.

Looks much better as a LB, so looks like Reguilon back up sorted next season. But we definitely over paid on current form.....although that's irrelevant now but doubt we'd ever get our money back if sold.

MouraThat MouraThat I’m also a member of the Todibo fan club. He made a stupid career move as an 18yo leaving Toulouse, where he would have played football every week, to jump to Barca where he played virtually none for two years, so he had stunted his own development, But he’s still only 21, and there’s some great raw materials there.

For what it’s worth, I did a little piece about him here:

I'm also a big fan of the money no object option, Kounde.

Others I quite like are Konate (RBL), and LCB's worth watching are Badiashile (Monaco). Zagadou (Dortmund) - both could be a little bit zippier, but both are young and have redeeming features.

Some adjustments based on feedback from others re contract running out, release clauses, HG:

GK: Lloris & Gazza (13M) → Pope (40M)

CB: Dier (27M) → Militao (27M)

CB: Sanchez & Foyth (27M) → P. Torres (50M)

LB: Davies (5M) → Sessegnon

CM: Sissoko & Lamela (12M) → Skipp

CM: Alli (30M) → Sabitzer (30M)

CF: Vinicius → Toney (27M)

Net Spend: £60M
Although Lloris' contract is about to expire, is he really only worth 13M?

I’ve seen aarons a few times and he must have a great agent because he’s no better than KWP and definitely a downgrade on even Aurier. If he came here he’d have the same complainers who moan about Doherty doing the same with him after 5 minutes.
By the way I agree. I'm telling you what is likely not what is my choice and his agent must be FANTASTIC because word is he wants to come to us over his other most pressing suitor...Bayern Munich. Like you never got the fuss but way better judges of players think he is going to be a top player.

don't know why people bother with lists like these.. this isn't football manager and Levy isn't going to sanction so many player signings especially with the $0 attendance revenue last season. max 3 signings in a window is the best case scenario depending on how much selling can be done
