Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All depends how many non-HG we can sell.
Currently we have 22 UEFA non-HG. We are only allowed 17, of course.
But it must be odds on GLC, Ndombele, Rodon and Reguilon are sold or loaned.
That brings it down to 18.
Assuming we sign a new CB and AM who are non-HG that brings it back up to 20.
That almost certainly would mean Royal and Sanchez will be moved on leaving 18.
I reckon Conte will loan Gil and keep Sarr bringing it to the perfect 17.

I don't see us moving on Rodon, Sanchez and Tanganga and only bring in one CB as that means only 5 CB's.

I think we may want to find an HG to bring in if Tanganga goes

Be interesting if Spence counts to six on one hand for the reveal video.
And gets totally blown away he´s got a sixth finger.

I'd be happy to see KWP back at the right price - think he was shafted by Poch not giving him playing minutes.

I do wonder if the assumption at Spurs is our HG issue could be solved next season with Parrott and/or White coming into squad as Club trained, or even Tanganga back after a loan as Club trained, and even Etete as HG and in turn that might mean KWP deal is marginally less attractive now.
I suspect it also depends on how our existing WBs & newcomer Spence perform in pre-season. Conte will be monitoring them closely, looking to see all of them improve their attacking play & delivery. (Apart from Perisic who is already proven in Conte's system.)

If Conte isn't seeing what he regards as the necessary improvements, then it's clear Paratici has already been exploring the potential market for Emerson, and there may be PL buyers for Doherty too.

If the KWP buy back clause exists, then we hold all the power. As long as KWP wants to come back, & isn't asking for crazy money, we can trigger the clause & buy him at any time during the summer window.

Our current squad, with adjustment for obvious outgoings. HG quota narrowly met.

There's a bit of an imbalance as we have 12 defenders for 5 positions, but only 9 FWD/MIDs for 5 positions.

We can add another player without having to get rid of anyone else, as long as they are HG.
A non-HG in would mean we need a non-HG out.

Rodon out (loan?) for another CB seems like a no-brainer. An attacking midfielder would also add squad balance. One of those 2 would have to be HG.

Tanganga may as well be loaned as he won't get much game-time, even though we'd be left with a smaller squad.

Jesus effin Christ, is this the 1100th time someone ‘sums up’ what our squad looks like/would look like? :stupid:

We fucking know the squad by now, and we are able to add 1 player at a time without seeing yet another pointless graph, list, lineup or whatever.

Don’t make me pay Admin to hire Archibald&Crooks to tighten things up on here

I never suggested we move on Tanganga in that post.
New CB would mean we have Romero, Dier, Davies, Lenglet, Tanganga, new CB.
I have a hunch we keep Royal as CB cover so maybe Tanganga will be moved on.
But JT is club trained as well as HG so I think we keep him.

Rodon out for a non-HG CB is fine.

....Albeit -1 x HG in the league.

Yeah we can keep them for League Cup initially

Why not in other domestic comps to aid rotation/cover?

but I'm more concerned about having a full and balanced squad for CL.

I'd say 5 into 3 attackers and 4 into 2 CMs is ok for that specific comp..... Especially if they're kept fresh by rotation in the domestic comps.... And Gil and/or Sarr can only help that cause. We're gonna be seeking to play our best in the CL afterall; not fringe players.

I have a sneaky feeling we will be in for either Guehi or Maddison. After securing 1 of those 2, we can afford for the other to be non HG (Bremer, Torres, Paqueta etc.)

Who knows.... I sent my crystal ball in for a service the other day. : P

Have we even been linked to either?

I know KWP plays well and played well for England in a recent inter but TBH I have never liked him.
He's too nice.
Surely AC would have taken Etete on tour (unless he is carrying an injury) if he fancied him?
Apparently Troy wants to go on loan but it will be interesting to see how Harvey performs on tour.
He is a definitely maybe!

So assuming Spence is done at 20m (with add-ons) then we've done:

- Perisic: Free
- Forster: Free
- Bissouma: 30m
- Richarlison: 60m
- Lenglet: Loan
- Spence: 20m

Total incomings: 110m

CCV - 6m
Bergjwin - 27m

Total outgoings: 33m

Current net spend: 77m

Likely sales:
- Winks: 15m
- Reguilon: 20m
- Gio: 20m

Potential additional sales:
- Rodon: 15m
- Emerson: 20m

If our likely sales go through we'd be at 22m net spend. Any additional sales and we will have a negative net spend.

We still have plenty of ammo to make a big statement.

I think the 6 signings have massively improved the squad and made us more complete but if we really want to be an elite team we need a final push.

Pau Torres and Lautauro Martinez for 100m - GET IT DONE!
