TOO SLOW! Don't need him any more.

Tottenham Hotspur target Weston McKennie has now been placed up for sale this summer by Italian giants Juventus.

90Min reports that the Serie A outfit are willing to do business at a price of around £25 million before the end of the transfer window.

The report says that Tottenham had an interest in the 23-year-old midfielder earlier in the window, during an aggressive summer of recruitment.

But the arrival of Yves Bissouma has seemingly meant that they are stalling over the American now, despite him being available.

It also seems that Spurs were keen to get their summer transfer business done as early in the transfer window as possible.

That is a clear change of approach from the past, when Daniel Levy was happy to drag deals on to save as much money as possible.

Is Reggie staying? really quiet on his district

On July 19, Kia Joorabchian, one of Reguillon's agents, had dinner in Miami with Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff. The Barça club knew first-hand that the defender would be delighted to stop at the Camp Nou, while in that match Alemany sent the player an interest in signing him if the efforts to incorporate Marcos Alonso did not bear fruit.

In the conversations three possibilities were discussed: the transfer, the assignment or the loan with a purchase option. Tottenham has valued the winger at around 25 million euros , but as the market progresses and taking into account that Spurs already have Matt Doherty, Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic on the left wing, that figure will be lowered.

It should be remembered that Real Madrid has a repurchase option on Reguilón for 40 million euros until August 31.

Barça's offer is not the only one that the side has on the table, which, among others, Sevilla also wants, in which he played on loan for the 19-20 campaign before being transferred to Tottenham by Real Madrid in exchange for €30 million.

Hmm. Looks like Theate is signing for Rennes. Seems an odd choice for Rodon. Could be third or fourth choice cb.
It's official now

Rennes have this morning unveiled the signing of Belgian international defender Arthur Theate from Bologna on a permanent deal, with the 22-year-old signing a four-year contract with the Breton club.

Le Parisien report that Stade Rennais are closing in on Tottenham’s Joe Rodon (24). The Welsh international defender would join on loan for the 2022/23 season.

Rennes are closing to completing the permanent transfer of Arthur Theate (22) from Bologna. The Belgian international centre-back completed his medical on Thursday, according to Le Parisien, and he is set to sign a four-year deal with Bruno Génésio’s side. He replaces Nayef Aguerd (26), who joined West Ham earlier in the summer.

Rennes centre-back recruitment won’t stop there, however. As revealed by Le Parisien, they are also looking to bring in Tottenham’s Rodon on loan. Since arriving in 2020 from Swansea, the 27-time capped Welsh international has found his game time limited at Tottenham, featuring only 24 times. The arrival of Clément Lenglet (27) on loan from Barcelona this summer will only push Rodon further down the pecking order at the London club.

Given the number of employees at Spurs, I don't doubt that there are many people that will have access to information outside of the public domain.

Contracts need to be written up, medicals need to be booked in, flights, scouting packs.

However, its very unlikely that anyone with regular access to the type of info these ITK's post would be leaking it to a forum. It suggests they have access to negotiations - which unless they have tapped Parcini or Levy's phone; they certainly don't.

Players we are following is hardly a secret. Taking a look at the list of games that Spurs senior scouts attend gives a good indication as to what players we are tracking.

My mate works at the Telegraph. They have contacts at each of the clubs, but for the most part this is all official - i.e. the clubs approve the release of the information. If they ever were to print something that pissed off the club they would lose access to future work - so they don't bite the hand that feeds them!

I think it is fair to say that since Partici came in; the genuine ITK has all but gone - and most of them are just taking educated guesses based on what is already public knowledge.

Fair points, but the number of people with 'inside information' is considerably larger than your post suggests - the list includes :

Player agents and the staff at those companies (and many agents/staff do talk about deals they hear of even when not intimately involved)

Advisors such as estate agents and other personal service providers

Clubs and players all involve various solicitors and accountants as advisors. I heard (after the event) that one of the accountants involved in the Bale to Madrid transfer that he was working on the deal for a full 6 weeks before the deal became public - granted he was not sure it was definitely going through until the final stages, but obviously the longer it was going on with more detailed considerations to deal with the more likely that the deal would go through.

And don't for forget wives/husbands, girlfriends/boyfriends and even good friends of the above often get hints on deals going through. So its a long list of people who might get wind of a deal going through - although most don't pass their knowledge on a minority will

On the other hand there's also a lot of people making stories up to make themselves look 'big and important' ! (cough Hercules ?)
