I want Djed Spence now just to piss off those Nottingham Forest fans. Wankers!!! Wound me up seeing bitter Forest fans comment about how bigger they are than Spurs 🤦‍♂️ You have been promoted for 5 mins you cunts, show some respect. Hope they get relegated now. Don’t get why so many supporters feel the need to cunt off our club all the time?

The whole thing has never made sense from the beginning. Bastoni is a lifelong Inter fan, highly rated and talented, doesn't want to leave, why would Inter even want to sell one of their best defenders in order to sign another defender? If Inter want to raise money then I'm sure there are other players in the squad that could raise some coin.
If you want to cut your wage bill by 15% you don't start by giving out big new contracts. Pay Bastoni (he's got two years left) and it offsets a chunk of your saving elsewhere. Don't pay him and you lose value and risk him ending up at Juve for buttons next year or the year after.

Very simply - Inter need money.

The 2 players with highest prices are Bastoni and Skriniar - so will be best sales to get Inter the money they need. So the deal is to sell one and buy another CB (Bremer) at a lower price (and less experienced but they believe huge potential) so that they keep 10m - 20m plus still have 2 top CB's

Ditto effect on Inter's wage bill

Spurs think Bastoni is the best bet having been trained by Conte before and we would like a LCB

What? What sort of an argument is that. Milan is a decent place, Inter have CL football, plenty of Italian speakers in the Inter dressing room..... so literally the only reason to to come here is because of Conte, the same Conte who left Inter after two years which I'm sure was upsetting for Bastoni and the rest of the squad

Conte and higher wages.

Bastoni has 2 years left on his contract, so decision time - does he want to stay at Inter (and sign a new contract) or move.

And he's not extended his contract yet

Surely it makes more sense to buy Bremer to play alongside Skriniar and Bastoni

It's like choosing to sell Harry Kane to just to buy Lukaku and having 10-20 mill leftover to buy another player for the squad. Makes no sense. Bastoni is highly rated, Bremer is not significantly better, so what's the point in losing one to get the other. Inters defence will not be any stronger and who will they buy with that 10-20 mill xtra?

Buying Bremer without selling another player is not an option for Inter

They need to bank money - whilst still having 2 credible CB's (one in one out).

Its all about ending up with 10m-20m in the bank for Inter (whether paying off debt or whatever not our concern)

it doesn't work like that.
if they sell bastoni for 60M they write a capital gain of 60M this year
if they buy bremer for 50M with a 5-years contract they write -10M this year (+wages)

They won't buy anyone. They need a 60 million profit and a 15% reduction in the wage bill. They are a financial basket case.

Well we were here last summer with Martinez. He had two years left on his contract iirc and there was lots of speculation that Inter needed to sell because they were in huge financial difficulties, Martinez never wanted to leave and eventually the two sides came to an agreement and he signed an extension. If Bastoni really doesn't want to leave then he will compromise and agree a new deal to say there.

That's because they also had Lukaku who they sold for over £90m, they don't have another Centre Back with a similar value as Bastoni to do the same this time around. I still think it will get done.
