5 imo. RWB, at least 1 centre back, 2 central midfielders and a wing forward type that could maybe cover Kane as well. Then another 3 or 4 younger back ups. Chances of that lot close to zero.
I'd say we only need 1 first XI CM and another can be Skipp/Bentancur level for rotation.

I think our group of CMs should be:
- 1 top tier signing with experience
- Skipp + Bentancur + another similar type
- Hojbjerg

We need to move Winks on and relegate Hojbjerg to our worst/5th choice CM.

The other question is what this also does for the squad dynamics and even if that many players will leave and be replaced.

If it does end up being 5-10 out the door and a similar number in, there's surely going to be another transitional period because it's almost a new team.

The more you look at it, it's obvious the issues we currently have are unlikely to be solved in the summer window alone. Just have to hope that Conte wants to be part of a longer rebuild.

The worst thing that could happen would be bringing in players to fit Conte's system and then him disappearing early next season and having to start the process all over again

4/5 in/out is a pretty typical window..... So nothing too major to handle.

.........10 in 10 out ain't happening though. People just get 'drunk' and carried away when it comes to transfer talk.

So long as we get money in for Ndombele & Lo Celso that'll be a massive coup and should jump-start our kitty nicely.

Livramento and Kalajdzic links are making the rounds today.

Chelsea have a £35 mil buy back clause on Livramento.... for 2023. So if their new owner situation puts them in situ this summer would be when to pounce.

Sasa Kalajdzic would be a nice option for Kane. A tall mobile target man who is still young and with room to improve. Had a brilliant Bundesliga season in 2020-21. But like the rest of Stuttgart are having a rougher go of it this season.

The idea being we can just slide in before then and they can sell him no strings attached?

Assuming that's true; then they'd have no motivation to do so for any less; most likely more...... Is truly he a £40m player?

...Does he could as HG?

For now, Livremento would be my 1st option.
I am sure that Spurs are keeping an eye on Livramento but 1) he's ll cost a small fortune, 2) no one seems to know exactly how Chelski's buy-back option will work. Well, here it's said it can be activated in 2023 but it does not explain how that would work out. Can Livramento refuse to re-sign with them? If a 3rd club buys him can Chelski still exercise this buy-back option?

Tottenham transfer news: Paratici working on signing Tino Livramento, fee will be 'mega money' - Sources

Tottenham have set their sights on signing Southampton right-back Tino Livramento this summer – and have already made preliminary moves.

The Londoners are in the market for a wing-back who can play on the right side and fit into Antonio Conte’s system after failing to land Adama Traore in January

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that Livramento, 19, is a leading target for recruitment chief Fabio Paratici and he is already making preliminary moves.

Signing a wing-back who can defend and attack with aplomb is a key priority for the recruitment chief and manager Antonio Conte, as it was in January.

Livramento has made a big impact for Southampton since signing from Chelsea last summer in a £5million deal.

He has started 20 Premier League matches among 24 appearances in all competitions, and been the first choice for the entire campaign.

At Spurs, Matt Doherty has started the club’s recent matches at right wing-back after 2021 signing Emerson Royal was previously the number one for most of the campaign.

Neither has completely convinced Conte and it is likely that a one will leave with a new right-sided defender arriving this summer.

Livramento’s asking price has climbed significantly this season after he moved from Chelsea without playing a single first-team match.

As per Calciomercato last Saturday (26 February), Man United are also keen on the teenager.

The Athletic claimed in September 2021 that Chelsea have a £38million buy-back option which becomes active in 2023.

Former Tottenham right-back Alan Hutton told Football Insider that Livramento is destined for a stellar career.

“It’ll be an interesting one to keep an eye on this summer. Livramento is a brilliant talent who would really improve that squad – especially if they’re looking to play with wing-backs.

“But it’s going to cost them mega-money, that’s for sure.”

In the last few days Spurs have been linked to 3 young RB prospects:
Tino Livramento
Djed Spence
Isaiah Jones

Livramento would be my top choice, but it would be a close call between Jones and Spence...

I think if Spurs loaned Emerson to a La Liga - or Seri A or Ligue 1 - club, he'd actually do well there and his market value thus would increase.

Maybe, but it might be permanently punctured by the wedge we're paying him, wouldn't mind seeing if Conte could make him a RCB, he's tall enough, good in the tackle, close short passing decent...

Certainly closer attributes to a RCB of 3 than a RWB.

Many perfectly suitable 7/8 out of 10s will move clubs this summer, whilst we will spend the entire off season beating our meat over 9s and 10s, only to then end up going home with a discarded wank sock from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus or some such at quarter to midnight on August 31st...

We will then be propaganda'd to death by spreadsheet enthusiasts insisting that it was actually a great summer and that we're better off not owning 11 professional football players anyway as the manager didn't trust them...

This is the way.

I think he'd be a great (albeit expensive as fuck) signing. Would be a massive improvement to our squad

The guy is behind KWP in So'ton's pecking order.

£40M for a teenager with potential who's 2nd choice to KWP at So'ton and is owned by the Chavs?
