Tottenham are lining up a deal for French defender Boubacar Kamara, 22, whose contract at Marseille ends in the summer. (Football London)

Woolwich and Tottenham are courting French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, 18, from Ligue 1 side Rennes. (l'Equipe, in French)

Mainly a defensive midfielder, he can also play as a centre-back.
Only 22, but has been playing regularly for 4/5 seasons.

He is known for his strong tackling. He makes on average 1.8 tackles per game, as per Who Scored. He is equally good with blocks and is a brilliant passer of the ball.

Kamara manages almost 3 long passes per game, that shows his wide passing from deep midfield.

Boubacar Kamara will see his contract at Marseille expire on June 30, with extension offers in France being knocked back, and GOAL has learned that Atletico Madrid are now leading the race for his signature.
Atleti have failed in a previous bid for Kamara, when a €5 million (£4m/$5m) approach was knocked back, but the Frenchman is now ready to take on a new challenge and is understood to be keen on working with Diego Simeone while gracing a Champions League stage.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have been credited with interest, while Premier League heavyweights Manchester United, Tottenham and Southampton are also casting admiring glances in the direction of Marseille.

As a CM, he's a very similar type to Declan Rice, in the football and physical sense, both of whom are similar types but at least a level down from Fabinho.

He's a pretty decent CB too, which I think I prefer him as.

I think he will click with Bentancur?

Southampton and Crystal Palace are eyeing Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks.

The England international is closing in on 200 professional appearances for Spurs. However, Antonio Conte wants to shuffle his squad this summer and Winks isn't in the Italian's long-term plans.

It's understood the north Londoners will listen to any sensible offers in the summer. Southampton have a long-running interest in Winks and weighed up a bid 12 months ago.

Palace, meanwhile, are also admirers and have already started planning for next season. A permanent deal for influential on-loan Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher is looking increasingly unlikely.

And Selhurst Park chief Patrick Vieira wants to make sure he has alternative realistic options lined up.

OK, it's The Star but I think CP is a realistic destination for HW.

I would personally prefer if we bring an experienced striker rather than a young one who wants to play a lot. With Kane only Llorente worked. Vinicius and Janssen failed. Depay would be something in the middle, could work.

Wouldn't be against it if we signed Pukki or Belotti. More experienced strikers would fit better.

I don’t really get this transfer. Not a bad player, capable of great moments, but he’s not displacing any of our current front 3. We obviously need depth but why swap Barca’s bench for ours? Would be really be happy to just be a depth option here?

If he's good enough to warrant major amounts of appearances on rotation including at CF then I can see sense in it.... Otherwise yeh.... It's just more Stevie/Lucas-ism.
