My problem with the people that would rather use Son as cover for Kane is that okay he can turn and shoot well, he can also get past a defender. That's not the issue for me, the issue is it's going to limit our attacking play because he can't hold the ball up like CFs Kane/Richarlison etc... and he's not much good in the air, so it means our wingbacks are going to be wasting their time with providing balls for an aerial threat.

But yeah if the ball does break for Son he's as good as anyone at scoring the goals, I just think winning the 50/50 balls is a separate skill that is a trait of a CF, I don't see that as a strong part of Son's game.
Completely agree but we only have to make it to Nov and then the window opens essentially and can see how it’s going

can see dortmund being interested

and that alone should make us sign him

dortmund are good at identifying good prospects
I think someone like him could benefit from going to the BL. He would be out of his element and have to focus on his game. I worry that the ones who portray the bad-boy type aren't professional enough. I'm not really bothered if we miss out on him, but if we do get him, I hope either a) he's a fucking beast or b) Conte gets him to shelve the ego and show some focus (except in front of the goons, when he scores).

Swagger > nonchalance

Not saying that Bor. D. but I would find it strange as they have the following players who can play RB: Lukas Klostermann, Felix Passlack, Thomas Meunier, Mateu Morey,
All capable RB's
We really should just setup up a subscription plan with Ajax and Dortmund. 1 player per window each at a fixed, escalating with market inflation, fee. There are worse ways to run transfer business than this.

Fabio Vieira going to the goons

I'm sure plenty of us are looking at the way this window is unfolding and wondering what kind of sliding doors moment it would have been if we'd operated similarly circa 2017-18.

The caveat is, of course, the stadium was still being built. I also think the CL final loss broke Poch's spirit in a manner that went outside of transfer recruitment or lack thereof.

Either way, exciting times.

Probably pissesd the dosh away if we're being honest.....

Spurs have decided to give the ITK's a run for their money - name of next player to be signed has been put on street sign opposite the stadium :

(Ben) Brereton (Diaz) Road N17

Fair enough, but I disagree. It depends a fair bit on the manager and the dynamic of the group. Obviously we don't know the exact stuff behind the scenes, but a few things we have seen makes me positive in this regard. Doherty and Royal celebrating together, with genuine joy, when they combined for a goal. Lucas being among the happiest for Sonny as he scored on the last day, and Gollini leading the celebrating for Sonny in the dressing room. Add in that we, AFAIK, haven't heard any complaints during the season from people benched. Sanchez (a 40m defender, let's not forget), Winks (who, despite what we think of him, would hope to go to the WQ if he starts for us), Lucas and Bergwijn all being minor players for Conte, and not a pip of discontent, during the season.

Get the right characters in the dressing room, a good staff around the team, and vet your signings (plus like I said, challenge for stuff), should mean that players, even very good ones, not by default starting doesn't equal trouble.

Yet (as already pointed out) Jesus....... Some players just wanna play more.... It doesn't mean the attitude within the club is wrong.
