Get a grip Steve. 2 free transfers and one generally low fee player doesn't absolve 20 years of outright stingeyness.
Talk of a £150m cash injection isn't even that exciting when other teams not owned by countries can spend that year on year.
Levy isn't suddenly a great chairman that deserves everyone's love and admiration. He's the same old Levy he always has been but now we have Conte, who actually have a massive pair of bollocks and will demand he gets what he wants. And in addition to that, for the first time ever, this really is last chance saloon for Levy. If Conte fucks off there's nowhere left to go.
This is not a man who is finally standing up and being top dog. This is a man with his back to the wall and reacting out of sheer fear.
Recently my neighbour had been moaning about the rise in his energy bill's. It went up £1740 per annum. Met him yesterday he said "I just opened an envelope and it was £150! Best country in the world this good ole Boris" so I said

"The Italian and French states have capped energy rises to a 5% increase." He said....
"Good ole Boris"

I don't know why it just brought to mind that exchange you had. People are intresting ...

Forster >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gollini

Perisic is a fantastic signing

Downplaying the Bissouma signing because we got for a good price is ridiculous.
He's one of the best PL proven CMs anyone could buy, let alone us.

Liverpool gave Klopp money from sales to spend.

Klopp joined liverpool in 2015 so seems like cherry picking, particularly as they sold Coutinho for ridiculous money in 2018.

Prior to December 2018 he signed:

When Mourinho got sacked I had some guy stalking me all around the forum demanding I tug Levy off for pulling the trigger........Even though he himself had appointed him less than 18 months earlier!:roflmao:

And I'm not sure why but your post above just made me think of this

:mourwhat:

Nor me. Never even heard of the bloke. But according to the experts he is a bit shit.

When I say 'experts'.....

The experts in here were pissed off we didn't get Diaz and ended up with failure Kulu. The failure Kulu who got more goals and more assists than Diaz and arguably ended up getting us more than Diaz got Liverpool. (IE took us into the CL) The same experts were also anti Bentancur and miffed we let 4 players who never played go only bringing 2 in. Even though that was 2 more than any of our rivals.
In other words, our experts are about as expert as Paul Merson or Gabby Abonglahwatshisname

I didn't "downplay" Bissouma. I said the fact he was cheap for his quality meant it was essential to get him in early rather than fuck around negotiating. We're not getting Richarlison or Raphinha on such a cheap deal and, funny enough, not much happening...
As for Liverpool and Klopp - £45m for Diaz and £85m for Nunes is not still coming from the Coutinho sale. I have no idea what that screen shot you posted is as it has no context. It looks like spend but I can't tell when it was posted or whether it's gross or net of incoming.
Liverpool have a much lower net spend than the oil cubs, Arse and United for sure. But it's still more than us.

Newcastle set sights on Raphinha'

Newcastle United have reportedly made contact with Leeds over potentially signing in-demand winger Raphinha this summer.
The midfielder was pivotal in keeping Leeds in the Premier League last season in their fight for survival.

This is interesting if only to test where Newcastle sit in the pecking order today. Will he go there or wait for a big club to come for him?

Pau Torres seems the best realistic option, to me at least. Starts for Spain, few top seasons in La Liga & European football under his belt. Ticks a lot of boxes aside from perhaps the 'will he adapt to the Premier League?' one.

I've not been hugely sold on him, but again a lot of these players we've linked to I've seen at most a handful of times, so can't really pass fair judgement.
He’s left footed and technically brilliant. Agree re: PL adaption

Karius will probably be my all time favourite Liverpool player.

Did they lock him in a room for 3 days and see if he came out alive?

Almost looking forward to this. Brace yourself for wild overestimations of his abilities by gooners between now and the start of the season. I've already seen them craft the 'he rejected you' narrative which is obviously hilarious as:

1. We didn't seem to push for him at all
2. He wouldn't have wanted to warm the bench while Kane started

By Christmas we'll have a fluffed chances compilation with which to laugh at their hubris. Mark my words.
