Fofana should have been a player we should have gone for.
More like, they are seeing us get our A targets at CM, LWB, ST and shitting it they might miss Top4, not a good look first season as Owners.

I feel like Eriksen would have only made sense from a money stand point and not much else.
We aren't going to change permanently to a 352 which already limits his game time. We aren't going to play him as part of a midfield two, which further limits his game time. And I am not sure as a professional, he'd have been happy enough to leave Brentford where he's starting games each week to come to Spurs to sit on a bench for what could have likely been his final big contract.
I feel sorry for the chavs....I think they're in for a bad time with this guy....
They are definitely looking a bit hot under the collar right now. You know they will always spend money. There's just no way they can recover from the loss of Rudiger and Christensen in one season though. If ever there was a time to kick these mfers in the teeth, it's this season...More like, they are seeing us get our A targets at CM, LWB, ST and shitting it they might miss Top4, not a good look first season as Owners.
Better? Disagree, but it's all subjective. I would take the guy that's 21 and over 2 years YOUNGER, 1.9M and can jump outta the sky vs 1.78M @ CB, and been playing in the PL.80m for Fofana is taking the piss. Kounde, who cost Barca c50m, is better, more experienced, and isn't recovering from a serious injury.
That Spanish Gary Neville needs a brick around the head. Grass
Perisic, LWB who is pretty nifty up the pitch.By having a right wing back who essentially plays as a midfielder and has the ability to create more than most midfielders in the world?
One of those available are they? They also happen to have Thiago these days, who doesn’t assist directly much but runs games & progresses play far better than any of our midfielders.
Disagrees areWell worth continuing to highlight the fraud. Shambles of a player, will cost us points if he makes an appearance. Not even Championship standard
Perisic, LWB who is pretty nifty up the pitch.
Better than most midfielders, check. Could go RWF or RWB as situation needs, if LWB is best substitute type scenario.
Zaniolo does not make sense to me.
Aside from his significant injury history, he's only made 8 assists in his whole career (100 appearances). I don't see how that will add the creative element we lack.
Maddison got as 8 assists in the PL last season itself.
Don't want to derail this thread, but in the part of my post you didn't quote I talked of the emergence of a "chav premium", like the "man utd premium", where Boehly & the chavs are now overpaying for players.Better? This will come back to haunt you...and I'm the type to remind folks of their calls. But remember, if Chelsea thought him worth more they would have spent it on him. They didn't value Kounde as much as Fofana. And there's a reason for that. I agree with them, you don't.
More experienced? 1 extra year in La Liga not 5.
Injury? Came back and looked as if he didn't miss a beat LAST season. And the injury was the result of a cunty tackle and not something that should be expected to happen again or couched at sicknotey.
Ok, to be clear, I wasn't trying to be misleading with your sentiment. I was just taking issue with your call about those 2 players. And for me, in light of what is being paid for CBs (how much was Martinez? And Deligt?) I don't have a problem with the valuation and have fully expected Fofana to go for 80M. And for me, he has the highest upside of any of them...kyle walker kinda upside as in can't be beaten by any player in world football such is his athletic gifts and burgeoning understanding of the game.Don't want to derail this thread, but in the part of my post you didn't quote I talked of the emergence of a "chav premium", like the "man utd premium", where Boehly & the chavs are now overpaying for players.
Bissouma also had 1 year left I believe. They had to sell. And Cucurella had a long contract left...4+ years I believe.I'll add this. We signed Bissouma from Brighton for £25m, who are now charging the chavs £52m plus a top young player for Cucurella.
If Boehly hadn't been busy buying the chavs, and had realised how badly they need a player like Bissouma, the price would have been significantly higher and we might not have managed to sign him at all.
He’s also fitter than any other player we have FYIPerisic is 33 & will likely need game time managing. He's also arriving in a more physical, superior league. I expect big things from him (he's a top player) but he's incredibly unlikely to match the output of a Trent

But Lester were never gonna sell for less than they sold Maguire so I'm not too sure the chav premium works here but I understand your point. But there were contract issues with Kounde AND Fofana just re-signed (March 2022) last season. Weren't clubs being quoted more for Kounde last season when he had 3 seasons left on his contract?

Not sure this evidence is supportive of your thesis. But it is clear Boehly is shelling out a lot of cash.
Bergwijn wanted to leave and i dont think Conte rated him. We 100% need someone because injuries and suspensions will come thick and fast. We coped last season because Son and Kane stayed fit and from February we had one game a week. Champions league and world cup and 4 good forward players and Moura isnt enough. Given we seem to be after Zaniolo thankfully they seem to agree.
It's like reading the output of a twelve year old who discovered his parents coke stash after dropping some beers while they were out.Better? Disagree, but it's all subjective. “Lighten up a bit” that’s a bit rich coming from the most negative member of this forum, you literally lurk around, waiting to pounce on any semblance unrest. give Your head a wobbleThe only constant whining and moaning I'm seeing is the constant whining and moaning of people whining and moaning about the non existent whining and moaning of others.
Seriously. Some of you need to give your heads a wobble and lighten up a bit ffs
