Ha! Now thats a nicer response, Mr Goat.
So elaborate? Give me an /out of 10.

I'll joined you in the "I told you so's"

People losing their shit at the thoughts of signing James and/or Traore.

I told you all it weren't never going to happen.
:pochsmirk:

We've a proper manager now, along with a proper DoF.

They just never felt likely. The links to any decent players coming in died with zaniolo who was actually another one I was convinced we weren’t in for because of his injury record.

Solid window when you look back at the shambles of the last few years. We move on with a stronger foundation. Future signings will be more inspirational now that we have a solid base.

It does feel like we haven't taken punts this year like in previous years. We haven't gone in for 1 season wonders and Nfrench'kid V3.5

The question is, is that Conte's request or is it the club being more careful because of the insanely expensive wastes of money we've had in the last 5+ years?

£50m + £40m for TND and GLC makes the £30m for Sissoko look like we stole him. The guy played 202 times for Spurs and actually put in some effort. Those two tossers managed 174 between them.

I'd liken Sissoko to buying a boring but reliable daily driver. Use it for years, not worth much at the end but it always starter and did what ot needed to do.

The other two are like taking a gamble on a new, low volume sports car hoping it's be worth something because of exclusivity.
only to turn up with a Renault V6 and major build issues. Rarely works and the value plummets. (Who knows what one I mean)

The change is great though isn’t it?
But also highlights how badly we’ve been run by levy & Hitchen In recent times. It’s gone from hopeful lucky punts and agent driven deals to actual planning. Hopefully it continues for as long as possible.

According to the Athletic we were trying to get Zaha during the final days of the window, and will probably try again in January. Either to outright buy him or negotiate a pre-contract since his Palace deal expires in 2023.
