Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Have said before, but slight reservation on Freedman for me is the Frank factor.

"He's done it at *insert plucky underdog team here* but can he do it at a big club"

That said, and same can be said of most, cant be any worse than what we already have, can he?
Unlike Frank and Lange Freedman has some personality about him, was a player and manager in England and would be able to speak publicly about our transfer dealings in a way that could actually convince.

It means nothing if the dealings themselves aren't good, but he's had past success in that regard.

I guess my worry about Freedman as a big ambitious personality is how well he'd work with RDZ.

In a room with Kehl, Lange and Vinai, RDZ is naturally going to dominate. Perhaps that's a good thing.

But at the end of the day Freedman just seems like he would be a uniquely credible figure in that position by ENIC's Spurs standards, someone who could actually drive the operation.

Savinho is not a level one player. Dude has 1 goal all season in a team that dominates

Brazilian Wilson odobert..we need real high level players to improve attack, like united getting mbreuno and cunha

I realise theres the issue of, if someone hasnt had the chance yet - how can they have proven themselves?

But...

I look at that Palace team.

Solid business. Some real talent spotted, Eze, Wharton etc

But also, a 3-5-2, defensive set up, some mixed business and appointments.

I just have that niggle of, can he step up?

I have no issues giving him a go - there are no outstanding candidates, and our current set up is shocking - so Im not exactly "anti", more "aprehensive"

Godts looks fucking absurd. Unbelievable. Caveat being it’s the Eriedivisie
One of the trickiest dribblers you'll see. Phenomenal balance and hip swivel.

The reason I harp on personality is that De Zerbi also had his only Premier League success with a smaller club backed by a phenomenal data-rich scouting operation. But no one ever doubted that he could command the Spurs spotlight.

Frank was just too much of a shrinking violet to ever succeed here, leaving the actual quality of his ideas aside. Lange feels the same.

Freedman's no De Zerbi, but he's a Scotland international, he's not one of these mincing little business school types.

Never heard of him

Reminds me, saw a link yesterday (different account), never heard of him either - looked on fotmob and apparently the player didn't exist 😆

Sudakov moved to Sporting from Ukraine last summer, but reason Sporting want to move him on is he struggled to handle physicality of Portugese league.

Wonder if anybody's mentioned the step up to PL from Portugese league is pretty high too !

Mudryk (allegedly Ukraine's most exciting player at the time) joined Chelsea for 70m or so a couple of years ago, but couldn't handle the speed/physicality of PL so looked a bad write off ..... and then there were doping allegations so its going through CAS. Basic problem is player is not suited to PL and Chelsea vastly over paid

He's at Benfica, but I take your point

I think Sudakov got his break at Shakhtar whilst De Zerbi was there, so I wouldn't be too cencerned if we moved for him
