Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As usual this forum focuses on wingers and strikers.

And i'm not saying we don't need any(we need everything)

But as a wise man once said: You build a successful team from the back.

My priority list would be:

1. GK, RB, CB, LB
2. 1 or 2 ball-playing central midfielders. Because without them ther's no need for sexy wingers or strikers.
3. Wingers and Strikers.

I think you've personally got that back to front, forwards should really be our priority and then work our way backwards.

Our defence is mainly shit because when our forwards get the ball they do fuck all and end up losing it.

Broader point is that the leadership thing is not a gimmick.

Standards don't slip to the levels we have seen if you have proper characters in the dressing room. Stones and Robertson go a long way to ensuring that.
Leadership is rarely imported, it comes from within the group.

Son , Kane, Sissoko (yeah I know), Dier, Lloris.

The biggest leader is the manager. It starts from RDZ.

Leaders should also lead by example first and foremost; I’m not going to respond to people that are constantly injured and or in decline themselves.

Stones has played 36 league games in the past 3 seasons. Robertson is in clear physical decline. These type of signings rarely work.

Not sure what is on previous 165 pages especially as the transfer business would have been so different had we been relegated. Now is the time to look at it. The initial vibes are not good as we have been linked with 2 free transfers & a MC winger that cannot get into their side. We need 2 top class strikers to replace Richie & Muani. After this season will we be able to attract that class of player after being snubbed last Summer twice, is doubtful. Whilst we also need other players it is the lack of a reliable goal scorer that is the most important position.

This is the best news we can hope for this window tbh

But what confuses me is why the fuck is Lange still involved, clearly he's planning our recruitment for this summer and compiled a list of targets.

I don't understand why the new SD isn't already in place and Lange has been sacked.

As it stands, the only person we have to be running the window is Lange and he's the one presenting targets to De Zerbi.

Just seems ridiculous.

Who knows, don't think as simple as that though, the club will still be scouting players, Lange is just heading up the dept I guess.

Did you watch the 25/26 season? He walks into the team.

Is the Bundesliga really a consistently good indicator for PL readiness? Didn't Simmons do well there? Wirtz? Sancho?

Personally I think we need some experience and leadership in the back line and I'd be happy for Vuskovic to go somewhere on loan for another year to continue his development (ideally somewhere better than the Bundesliga though).

I'd like to see Tel and Bergvall go out on loan to improve as well. Neither seem 1st eleven PL ready.

This is true, but we've actually got decent players at the back and absolute donkeys up front.

A wise man also said a football team is only as good as its weakest player.
That is the common belief.

And yet we've conceded 57+ goals in four straight seasons across 4 separate full time managers and a couple interims.

I think a lot of our defenders are overrated. Despite their agents regularly trying to gin up moves for them, no one really wants any of them. That speaks volumes.

Mate what is this magical hypothetical level between the Bundesliga and the PL?

I'll keep saying it until I am blue in the face, the best player at Spurs TODAY, not down the road, not when developed, TODAY, is Luka Vuskovic. Keep him at the club and it doesn't matter who else we keep or sign, he will be the first name on the team sheet every week. The kid is mustard.

Very much enjoy the transfer thread during the close season. Quite amusing and entertaining when posters get so het up when they believe either their selections have been overlooked or their 'don't touch with a bargepole' look as if they might come in.

Here's hoping they never get a reality check and keep on believing they know better due to their superior knowledge and dealings with the tooth 🧚‍♂️ fairy.

A fit Kudus would be his replacement.

He wants to play with his brother.
We have VDV, Danso, Senesi and apparently looking at another CB. Assuming Romero and Drag go.

No European football either. There's no guarantee Vuskovic is PL ready right now and no need to rush it. Also helps to build some good will... he might feel he owes us.
We’ll trade for another 2-3 years on his contract and a pay increase.
It won’t mean Jack in 2028 if the player forces a sale.

France, Spain…..not exactly really powerful leagues ? Italy is not what it used to be.
