The whole of Europe is weak right now, Madrid are poor, Barca are miles off what they can be, Bayern are good but not great, it's literally PSG on their own really, the scum are decent but i wouldn't call them great. It's a bit of a strange time. Was actually taking a look at the table. Sunderland got Europa league, we just scraped survival. They had 4 wins more than us.
It really is a poor league, open to any team to leap up the table if they get it right
He's HG for Prem but would be non-HG for UEFA.
Not berg as an individual, but he clearly needs a loan now that we’ve signed Gallagher. You are right in some respects. Not sure how Berg qualifies that statement tho.....
17th in the Prem the past 2 seasons has been hellacious for me personally. I don't really care how well or not we are doing in Europe if we are getting consistently done by our rivals. If we simply finish 10-12th next season, I'd consider it a very good improvement.

if we loaned him to Hull for example, would he lose HG status?
Ideally we should used him as a stop gap for the 8/10 role this seasonNothing against Gallagher, decent player, lots to like about him
But he just doesnt fit
At best, as far as I can see, hes a rotation/utility type player
And considering we bought him in Jan on big wages - he wont be going anywhere anytime soon...
One big issue that talks against most of our youngsters is the football system that shaped De Zerbi. The spots for talented midfielders coming off the bench are covered by Gray and Bergvall. Can not see where that leaves Devine without Europe. Its most likely not with us.
And Reading. He started at Reading where he grew up.
Probably comes down to whether he's willing to sign a new deal. He has 2 years left on his contract - that's usually the sweet spot for a sale. After that the player has control - can threaten to leave for a free or we might get a crap deal. We've been terrible at selling for ages and need to get better at letting go of players when they still have value. And while Porro can be decent, I don't think he's indispensable or irreplaceable by any means.Id only sell if we can get a clear upgrade
I like Porro, and I think he can work really well under RDZ, so Id rather keep him
If Maresca wants him, then he’ll obviously push to go. With 2 years on his deal you’d take 50 and move on.If Porro refuses to extend and wants to go there, then we’d have to sell.
He has his strengths and weaknesses but he’d certainly improve in a more ball dominant team like City.
