Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Was actually taking a look at the table. Sunderland got Europa league, we just scraped survival. They had 4 wins more than us.

It really is a poor league, open to any team to leap up the table if they get it right
The whole of Europe is weak right now, Madrid are poor, Barca are miles off what they can be, Bayern are good but not great, it's literally PSG on their own really, the scum are decent but i wouldn't call them great. It's a bit of a strange time.

If we can get our act together we can really fly past teams, but we have to nail this summer's recruitment.

17th in the Prem the past 2 seasons has been hellacious for me personally. I don't really care how well or not we are doing in Europe if we are getting consistently done by our rivals. If we simply finish 10-12th next season, I'd consider it a very good improvement.

Tbf the points difference is very tight from 7-15 that whole section of the league is similar quality

Nothing against Gallagher, decent player, lots to like about him

But he just doesnt fit

At best, as far as I can see, hes a rotation/utility type player

And considering we bought him in Jan on big wages - he wont be going anywhere anytime soon...
Ideally we should used him as a stop gap for the 8/10 role this season

Clear out the midfield but buy Alex Scott and a pass first 6.

Have Bergvall out on loan developing.

Sell Gallagher next summer/January 28.

A smart club has a succession plan in place now.

A player I can see De Zerbi liking, and I don’t expect a lot of people to be on board with this, but I think he’s tailor made for what De Zerbi wants from his strikers is Nicolas Jackson.

He’s similar to Joao Pedro and Welbeck were in the way that he drops off and links up play, while still having the pace and runs to get in behind and stretch defences. Cole Palmer hasn’t been half the player he was since Jackson’s minutes dried up and then subsequently left Chelsea.

It’s not one I expect everyone to be on board with, but the striker market is very thin on the ground, and I think he ticks a lot of the boxes that De Zerbi looks for in a striker.

The spots for talented midfielders coming off the bench are covered by Gray and Bergvall. Can not see where that leaves Devine without Europe. Its most likely not with us.
One big issue that talks against most of our youngsters is the football system that shaped De Zerbi.

He's obviously proved that he can use youngsters at Brighton. But Italian football does not trust youth as a whole, which plays a part in their national team floundering in recent years. Youngsters in Italy are usually sent down to Serie B-D and have to graft out places for themselves slowly.

I hope that Roberto is more willing to at least look at the kids before we start banishing them to Bolton and such for a year or two.

Id only sell if we can get a clear upgrade

I like Porro, and I think he can work really well under RDZ, so Id rather keep him
Probably comes down to whether he's willing to sign a new deal. He has 2 years left on his contract - that's usually the sweet spot for a sale. After that the player has control - can threaten to leave for a free or we might get a crap deal. We've been terrible at selling for ages and need to get better at letting go of players when they still have value. And while Porro can be decent, I don't think he's indispensable or irreplaceable by any means.

Also depends on De Zerbi I guess - does he see him as a key part of the project? If so, can he sell him a dream and get him to re-sign?
