You really do have a habit of claiming opinion as fact don't you? You also have this habit of reading what you want to read, not what is written.

None of that tosh you've written above is remotely close to what I've put in my post.

What a weird angry little rant.
I'm just concerned that our "Recruitment team" will just label Senesi as a centre back and if we miss out on Van Hecke or any other potential RCB targets to replace Romero, that we'll do the lazy spurs thing and just declare Senesi as our Romero replacement.

Sorry if my rant ended up aimed at you. I found myself replying to you and then went into my own concerns.

I said last year that, when people were rubbing their genitals over how liverpool was run, that people would be making effigies of Levy if he was leaving our 3 best players to run down their contracts and allow an academy world class player to walk away (granted they got £10m to release him early). It's now happening again to an extent - Robertson, Salah, Konate - and THEN you get the 35 year old VvD still there and not getting any younger or any contingency.

So liverpool at minimum need 2 CBs IMO - wouldn't be shocked if they sniff at Vuskovic or VdV
Doubt they’d go for Vuskovic, rhey’ve already bought two big money teenage CBs. They’ve obviosuly got to sign a proven RCB this summer at the minimum.

We have vuskovic who should be playing and Phillips who was great again last season. How about we just keep one of them and give them a chance.

I really want us to keep Vusko and put him in the first team next season.

Senesi on a free is great business if he's the Dragusin replacement and if we plan to keep Romero or replace him with someone like Van Hecke. My concern is the potential domino effect where Senesi ends up becoming the Romero replacement and the club tell RDZ to make two left footed CBs work. Would you really be that surprised? Its the board and recruitment that ultimately let us down every single season. So why assume that is going to change now?

It just reminds me of the Ben Davies extension last summer which everyone saw as super positive at the time even though the domino effect became very damaging.

Ben Davies contract extension last Summer. Everyone was delighted and I love Ben as much as anyone else. However, I raised concerns that this meant we might not sign a proper LB/LCB and our season could become total reliant on VDV and udogie avoiding injuries. I also raised concerns about us not looking as balanced if Spence was used there. We made one attempt to sign a LCB/LB and that was Hincaipe but when it fell through the club did what they always do. " We missed our target but great we have Ben Davies so no panic". I was called negative and being over paranoid about the Ben Davies extension and was assured that we would still be signing a LB to compete with Udogie. The club and their recruitment let us down.

I'm just not as forgiving. Until I see us get the recruitment right, I won't be given the club the benefit of the doubt. These two free signings make perfect sense and are great business if we are simply replacing Ben Davies and Dragusin. But the domino effect won't be visible until August and I hope we don't end up in the same scenario again where we back off bigger targets (like selling Romero but deciding not to pay for Van Hecke)because we have Senesi as a CB option.

Don’t really know how good Morgan Gibbs White is, 35 year old Jordan Henderson is in the squad over him

Edit: lol this analogy has already been used twice my bad.

Senesi is good. Was one of the 5 best CBs in the Pl this year. He has weaknesses yes but I will take 3 years of stamped PL excellence over any international bollocks. Dont overreact to who looks good in the World Cup this summer.
They take up different roles, on the pitch and aside, you can not compare them.

MGW missed out because the team will be build around Rogers/ Bellingham, they are in his way.

If we dont sign another centre back then Vuskovic will stay, who is right sided. We have loads of shit to moan about, a forward 3 that is almost relegation fodder, so cant see the point in getting stressed about centre back options of VDV, Senesi, Vuskovic and Danso which is pretty good and would be our strongest area.

Yeah it might be time to give Vuskovic his opportunity. I don't hate that.

Because its the same shit recruitment we've been dealing with for the last 5 years and this will be it again. We haven't signed Senesi to be back up so unless we plan on selling VDV then you are in for a nasty shock come August.
It could also be said that we haven't signed RDZ to not give him a squad he wants.
So let's just wait until August before we leap too far either way.

Levy isn't here anymore.

Didn't Senesi play most games for Bournemouth last season, a high press team that finished 6th (their highest ever league position)?

Why are people making out like he would even dream of coming to the 17th placed team in the league to just sit on the bench like Dragusin did?

As others have said, I think he's coming to compete with VDV and based on what I've seen over the past couple of seasons I think it's a competition he might win.

No he doesn't. He lost his spot at Bournemouth when Huijsen came through the door. Good player who brings some leadership but he will probably hold same status as Danso
Have you watched Bournemouth at all this season? Senesi is a far better player for RDZ football. Good on the ball unlike Danso who looks worrying on the ball.
Thats not to knock Kevin, good player who did a great job in our fight for safety. But for the manager we have Senesi will I suspect be higher regarded.

Vuskovic has to be added to the first team squad.

Our loan policy has been predicated on the idea our team is fighting for CL football and European trophies, hence developing talent elsewhere.

We are not at that level. We are at rock bottom and looking up. Our standard of football is poor. He should develop with us, not elsewhere.
