£78m over five years. BargainSure, cheap as chips that.
"Marcus Rashford is under contract at Manchester United until the summer of 2028 on a deal worth £325,000-a-week"
Agree, don’t know why he doesn’t play more at City. Quality wise he’s not some fringe player. They always look much better when he’s on the pitch. He would be the player to pay that much, not Rashford of Oshimen. Would be very hard to get him out of City imo unless they get fucked with those charges which they should do hopefullyHave you seen Marmoush play? If he's avaliable he's the best we can get. Marmoush is class, can play with the ball, very good dribling and finishing, different levep from the donkeys we have. I would pay even more than 300k/w if needed, he will put us on another level.
Bouaddi's the one I'd take from Lille for the 6. Seen bits of Mukau (including live where he played as a kind of RM), quite like some bits, seems like one of those tall, athletic, rangy MF"s that Ligue 1 churns out prolifically, but not seen enough to form a rock solid yet. He seems to be getting minutes in a number of MF remits.
Yep. We will. Not a fan of Rashford, but we can do a lot worse I think. Could be a good squad player.
Absolutely no to Rashford at 28 years of age, with less pace and zero real desire to join this club.
Any such time for seeking to get Rashfotd has long gone.
Whoever takes a punt on Rashford is likely to be very frustrated, because if Barcelona can't get from him what they needed, I suspect no team can.
He was quality for Barca though, reason why they are reluctant to sign him is purely financial.
I personally don't think he'd enjoy it as much in England anyway, he was clearly having fun out in Spain and looked refreshed, I can see him going into his old habits and the media doung their usual hatchet job on him.
I’m not against Rashford now because he’s looked good at Barca.
I was when he was in the prem and obviously never doing the out of possession work to press.
It’s definitely easier to look good for Barca though.
De Zerbi wants Rashford, not Lange/Vinai pushing it on him. That's good enough for me.
A noteworthy bit of context is that this kid has been managed for the last few years by the same manager that made Ndombele look like a record purchase for us.Does he like to work hard the whole game or just a few minutes here and there. And does he like cake, a lot? Just making sure he's not the new Ndombele.
If he wants him then we should back him - we need to back our managers more. But I highly suspect it's a deal that will come back to bite us squarely on the arse if we push it through. Can very much see it being another Adebayor-type situation if RDZ leaves within a year or two.De Zerbi wants Rashford, not Lange/Vinai pushing it on him. That's good enough for me.
He's still got some time on his United contract right so maybe we could swing a loan?If he wants him then we should back him - we need to back our managers more. Can very much see it being another Adebayor-type situation if RDZ leaves within a year or two, although when Rashford's good he's very good so we'd get a decent season out of him I'd imagine.
That might be the best compromise, especially while half our forwards are injured. He's still got some time on his United contract right so maybe we could swing a loan?
