Well I mean we have Phillips but he's a pure centre back.

Listen I don't think it's ideal and I think Davies should probably leave but I understand the logic.
The youth player that we could turn into something or old slow Davies prob sitting on 100K wages...not that logical to me. We need to start playing our talented youth players and give them a shot. No sense watching some 19 year old on Plymouth Argyle torch Davies in the FA Cup.

The early rumblings certainly don't inspire confidence.

I know it's early days but it just feels like same old same old with Tottenham.

The lack of ambition to truly compete is so boring.

That basically told us in the statements last week they thought the problem is a lack of experience. And who’d have thunk it, signing a load of old has beens is a lot cheaper than admitting the problem is a lack of quality and signing some of that.
Senesi Robertson Palhinha and Davies the priority signings lol. 3 of them left footed defenders and only one (Senesi) actual starting quality.

If this is the future ENIC wants to show us I think we’re going to be back down in relegation zone again this decade.

Sarcastic Charlie And The Chocolate Factory GIF
Meaning ‘ i’ve shopped Manor around and no one will match his wages’.

But Davies is gonna get promoted through the backroom ranks and lead Spurs to greatness.

People want Spurs people running the club. Ben is that guy.

This is the start of the Davies Dynasty!!

Six months before a player's current contract expires, that player is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with a different club binding them to that new club once their current contract expires. So Spurs can have signed both Senesi & Robertson to such a binding pre-contract.
I understood that Fabrizio's "here we go" regarding those 2 players meant they've both signed for Spurs (but I may be wrong).
That's only with foreign clubs, no?
I didn't think you could with fellow English clubs, officially at least.

I al tempted to agree but there are also some players who are off limits, and it would be daft to even thrown our hat in the ring, in my opinion.

No team is as yet to make a signing,l et alone a marquee one, but there is a middle group of players, like Baleba, Wharton to name but 2 who moght not quite fit what the biggest 4 or 5 clubs, and we have to try and make a statement.

If not, what changes???

Its like a switch go for old men now never in between like a player ready for now prime. Still give it till sept to prove me wrong i like the palhinha move robertson less so. Senesi is a good buy. I want a prime lw and striker if thats asking alot

Bayern will have a role to play here if what we're offering (which we should) is just another season on loan versus Sporting wanting to buy outright.

This sucks. It's very clear what the squad needs, but it is in direct conflict with what De Zerbi seems to want. There's no good answer there.

We should low ball Munich.

If the loan was with an "option" to buy then let's make an offer?

He's not going to get the salary at Sporting that he would do at Spurs, and he's no spring chicken anymore so length of contract will also play a part i think.
