City are very smart, they know they've got a profit on their hands here for a player they don't need.Might not be popular, but i hope they price him out of a move to us this year too, there is better out there for us & prob not as expensive too

If the Davies thing is true I just don't get it on any level. He barely saw the pitch when we had Europe and we're supposedly buying a veteran LB and a LCB which means he's 3rd choice at best in any position. The only way he gets more than a handful of minutes is if we have yet another injurypocalpyse.
I'm sure RDZ likes his presence and leadership around the squad, and to keep standards up in training or whatever, but are we seriously gonna pay PL wages just for that? Not worth it.
Doesn't make sense to me unless they're seriously worried about Udogie's fitness and feel we need extra cover while we build him up. But couldn't Spence/VdV cover in that case anyway?
I would rather keep him and have team full of players that can consistently win things...Sell him for 70-80m. That's good business for someone that hasn't played a single min in the PL
If we get him, it will be no where near the cost of last season.Might not be popular, but i hope they price him out of a move to us this year too, there is better out there for us & prob not as expensive too
Lange was a Levy hire too. 50/50 on VV though. Not sure about that, Fab was a Levy man and the kids binned him off for Vinai and Lange.
Fab wanted more control but Vinai, of course, backed Lange and so Fab left after just a few months.
Paratici wanted rid of Frank in December but Frank wanted to "trust the process" and Vinai, the gooner simp, allowed Frank to take the lead.
The kids, maybe understandably as they were new to the job, backed their CEO and that's why we are where we are.
I doubt Paratici really wants anything to do with this club anymore because his main supporter has gone and they shat on him and his experience for two clueless wasters.
Fair, but is a 3rd choice backup LB/LCB is even a role we need in the squad, especially if we're not in Europe? To my mind Robertson was essentially his replacement and also ticks the homegrown and experienced boxes.Home Grown

Will probably play in a couple of cup games. Hopefully allows money to be spent improving the first 11.
I suspect this is all about not wanting to use up one of the 17 international spots on a backup squad player.
Haha I did consider adding that point on the end. Guilty as charged.
Thank fuck for that. If we try to persuade him or he comes here as a last resort then the transfer is fucked from the start.![]()

This is what gives me the biggest pause on Savinho. He is a raw, inexperienced player who did not produce or fully mesh with their playstyle, and Pep apparently wanted him gone a year ago.City are very smart, they know they've got a profit on their hands here for a player they don't need.
I actually disagree with this. Good players become available from top clubs all the time and we've been successful in that market before.
Pretty easy to list big club rejects that had very good/amazing careers: KDB, Salah, Lukaku, Odegaard, Robben, Gnabry etc. Van de Vaart wasn't too shabby for us either. This is what gives me the biggest pause on Savinho. He is a raw, inexperienced player who did not produce or fully mesh with their playstyle, and Pep apparently wanted him gone a year ago.
For them to actually want to sell is concerning. They let Palmer go, yes, but they’ve been very careful since. I don’t ever feel safe buying big club rejects… they generally have a very low hit rate of actual stardom, and most are wastes of money.
People keep using terms like "raw prospect" as a euphemism for "not very good".My main concern is that I'm not sure another raw 22 year old prospect is what this squad needs
Savio was very good at Girona where he was actually allowed to play football. Everyone knows that Pep kills creative wingers, and Savio didn't even play that much (and was out of position when he did).Savinho is exactly the type of signing we dont need. All hype and potential with trash actual performances.
Go in for people like MGW, Kroupi, Rayan. People that have actually done well in this league.
I would just about do the Savio deal for what it's worth.
Confused why we would need both him and Crysencio Summerville though. Summerville is like Odobert pt. 2, shouldn't we be searching for a goalscoring winger or someone who offers a different profile from the wing?
There were actually a few fans who thought it was a good idea to bring him in (on loan) to save Spurs back in January...
Two seventeenth place finishes, escaping relegation on the last day of the season, i don't know what fans in here expect from the transfer window, but no top tier player is heading to us next season.
Deluded to think otherwise.
Players like Savinho and Summerville are about right for us at the moment, and would improve the squad.
