Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So we are after Savino again meaning it is clearly a club signing and not a manager one. Throw that in with a couple of “free” transfers and I am seeing nothing different from this New ENIC

We should be tearing up our old strategy and getting Lange out the door

Problem is, as Ive said in the conversations around a new DoF - there just isnt time for anything else

Think about it - how are we going to get a new dof, have him assess everything, find targets, aquire targets (and good ones!) all within the next week or so?

This window was always going to be compromised by that lack of a dof, we were always going to fall back onto Langes list and any opportunities that came by

I just hope RDZ proves to be the difference maker, and ultimately is happy at the end of the window...

I bet he is absolutely pissing himself at the idea of offloading Kean onto our bunch of idiots for a nice big £££ that he can reinvest in Fiorentina to do a rebuild there

Came off the phone to Vinai laughing like Mutley

I dont think this is a football decision, I think its a human one - and Im fine with that

Surely we've all worked somewhere where there's one person who is a bit crap at their job but the entire business hang off their word like they wrote the rulebook? Like they'd accept the sky isn't blue if that person said so?

Maybe thats how they see Paratici - just as that one guy who knew about football. "You know who are the best players? The ones Juventus didn't want. You should sign them all. Oh, and all the managers too. I reckon Igor Tudor is a good manager" etc.

Comment from blumoon....

He ripped García a new arsehole on Sunday for 45 minutes. Villa replaced him with Marty Cash at half time and Pep swapped him to the right never to be seen again

This exactly shows what I meant about his 'fit' at city.
No he hasn't been world class there but pep just hasn't given him a steady platform to work from and he's been on the back foot. If youre helping a young player develop and improve then why do silly things just to accommodate other players?

I would have thought that they would have seen Vuskovic as the Romero replacement but can't complain if they're looking to replace him with an established player, Van Hecke would be great.

We have the worst recruitment team in the division by miles.

Now even Man Utd don’t want to waste money as bad as us nowadays.

This is harsh imho.

I’m sure lots will disagree but I actually don’t have a problem with the “player identification” in the last 3 seasons…Van der Ven, Maddison, Kudus, Danso, MGW* etc.

The problem is the execution - timing, wages and precise profiles (eg no creative passer, the MGW and Eze debacles). There was talk in January that we were after a deep lying creative passer for the summer, and the links to Hackney are encouraging in that he is the profile we are missing.

If Savinho has been identified as the bilateral winger who will elevate the ceiling of the team then I actually trust them to have made the right decision. What’s also clear is that De Zerbi will not entertain £50m of the budget on a player he doesn’t agree with. He either rates him already or has been convinced.

I’ve watched some highlights of him this (his worst) season and tbh I like what I see. Takes the ball in tight spaces, quick, good off either foot and has quality in both 1v1 and ball playing. He’s competing against Doku and Semenyo who are the two best in the premier league and so I don’t read too much into his lack of minutes at City.

If they bring in Robertson and Senesi then I think that’s also outstanding business. From where we are and what else we need to do I think it’s impossible to improve the current back four of Udogie, Van der Ven, Romero and Porro. But now in Robertson, Senesi, Danso and Spence we (finally) have a good quality alternative in each position (but also cover in terms of skillsets - ball playing, carrying, crossing, duels).

There’s a lot to do this summer but I actually feel very positive in that it’s De Zerbi who will dictate the required profile of player.

Which is why Lange should have been binned a few months ago.
