Isnt Paratici linked to taking over at Juve 🤔

Surely we've all worked somewhere where there's one person who is a bit crap at their job but the entire business hang off their word like they wrote the rulebook? Like they'd accept the sky isn't blue if that person said so?

Maybe thats how they see Paratici - just as that one guy who knew about football. "You know who are the best players? The ones Juventus didn't want. You should sign them all. Oh, and all the managers too. I reckon Igor Tudor is a good manager" etc.

I think youre right - blind leading the blind...

Not quite sure how it works if we do replace Romero with Van Hecke. As Senesi won't want to sit on the bench all season. With no Europe either, I don't get why he'd sign for us unless he's been told he'll be starting for us.

Which is why Lange should have been binned a few months ago.

Dont forget the plan was for a Lange Paratici dream team

Just goes to show the absolute clusterfuck running us

And that there are no quick fixes to this shit

Best case scenario, we get in a "world class operator" as desired in this window (wouldnt trust them to find their asses with both hands in their back pockets, but anyway....)

The window IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITHOUT THEM

So, lets hope the window is "good enough" and doesnt lumber us with more problems to be sorted

Then, new dof gets the next few months to start to unpick the mess the club is in, and be ready to get some moves in for Jan....

We need two quality players in each position:

LB: Udogie/Robertson
LCB: VDV/Senesi
RCB: Van Hecke/Danso (assuming Vuskovic is loaned out)
RB: Porro/Spence

Our defence is starting to look strong IMO.

I used to have fun with it when I was younger. Friends who knew nothing about cars but would parrot stuff like Jay Cartwright, so I'd make stuff up that I knew they'd confidently blurt out like making up some silly but totally incorrect version of what "GTI" stands for.

In work, we'd get consultants in and you could see they were blaggers so I'd also feed them made up stuff just to see them repeat it in big meetings. When the attendants swallowed it up instead of calling it out, I realised how work is based more on blagging than it is skill. (Similar to that IT Crowd episode with "The Internet")

In a footballing sense, I have no confidence that Lange or Vinai are competent as they are confident and I think that has been seen as gaps which have been left open by Levy/Paratici/Cullen having left.

Senesi plays LCB. Hes going to be rotating with VDV

I know he plays LCB, but rotating CBs never happens playing once a week. You have a starter and a back up. If VDV is first choice and stays fit, Senesi could easily spend the season on the bench apart from a few league cup games depending how far we go. IMO Senesi will be a starter, so where does that leave VDV?

Which is why I am curious how this all works.

Considering our injury record over the past 2 years, I really don't think we should be worrying about having too many players

It does on paper yeah, but I'm not convinced VDV will be a starter / doesn't get sold. I guess we will see.

Roberto will prefer ball playing CBs and that gives the advantage to Senesi over VDV.

Why do we need to wait a year for Vuskovic when he's good enough to play now?

Very few people will have genuinely watched enough of him to know that to be unoquivacably true.

The hype around this kid is insane; but (on paper) another year on loan at the right club at his age would do him the world of good in the long run.

.....and contractually time is on our side.

He's even younger than Gvardiol was and his transition to a far better, more stable, functioning MC squad wasn't without bumps; yet Vusko is being expected to be a starter for a wobbly club from day one by reems of people that have likely never watch a full 90mins on the kid.

I guess that that you'd really fancy - or did fancy - those past and present footballer:

Jizz Hornkamp
Kevin Lasagna
Christian Fuchs
Fabian Assman
Jakob Wanker
Stefan Kunts
Danny Shittu
Norman Conquest
Mark de Man
Peter Pander
David Goodwillie
Danger Fourpence
Michael Gash
Bernt Haas
Argelico Fucks
Chiqui Arce
Nortei Nortey
Danny Invincible
Wolfgang Wolf
André Muff
David Seaman
Ralf Minge
Paul Dickov
Milan Fukal
Uwe Fuchs
Rod Fanni
Creedence Clearwater Couto
Dean Windass
Lars Bender

Paul Dickov 🤣
Why oh why did they call him Paul 🤣

The most obvious transfer we should make. About fucking time we brought some players who actually LOVE this football club and want to be a part of it. Do not fuck this up Tottenham.

I agree. However he’s another ball carrier not a ball player. We’d just be bringing another one to run about rather than play the passes. If we get him it has to be in addition to somebody to break the lines from deep. None of our current midfielders do that and it’s what we massively need.

I have none either.

Lange can spot a player, good youth scout - but he is an analyst - not a big picture person

Vinai is just a corporate avatar - the sort who would be parachuted into any business/industry as ceo and do a couple of years before moving on (and inexplicably up) somewhere else

Vinai can be servicable if he has proper "heads of..." below him who he just supports and leaves to get on with it

Quite obviously there is a huge fucking vacuum there

if, IF, they can actually get in a good dof this time, things can genuinely be positive

Although it feels like that would be a fluke, doesnt it?

I think, sadly, theres a greater chance of them just fucking it up some more...
