Personally, I’d like to see him start at LCB and VdV moved to LB although we might be vulnerable aerially and I don’t know if VdV can cross any better than Udogie or Spence.

Getting the defence sorted for the price of a little extra wages, and swapping Romero out for Van Hecke is good business. Some of the other sales like Vicario, Dragusin, and Richy should pay for Savinho too.
They have to spend the big cash on two premier signings. A midfielder and forward. If they do we should be in decent shape.
